Today we’d like to introduce you to Shelley Wenzel. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Shelley Wenzel has always loved the Valley. Visiting Arizona at a young age with her father, Shelley fell in love with the charm of the Scottsdale and Paradise Valley region immediately. Appreciating the stunning beauty of the area and recognizing all that the desert community has to offer, Shelley told family and friends that she would live there one day. Shelley realized her dream 24 years ago when she left her hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio to become a full-time resident of North Scottsdale, where she lives today.
After studying business administration at The University of Cincinnati, Shelley entered the ultra-competitive luxury car market and quickly became one of the top Mercedes-Benz sales consultants in the Midwest region. Soon thereafter she continued working with Mercedes-Benz in Scottsdale achieving similar success.
Understanding the unique needs of the discriminating client and providing them with unparalleled levels of service is embedded in her DNA. It’s no surprise that a lot of those clients are still friends today. Having 29 years of strong negotiating experience, marketing expertise, excellent communication skills, and years of real estate industry experience will assuredly benefit anyone that works with her.
Shelley’s community involvement includes establishing a real estate professionals’ group, named Real Estate Professionals Helping LOCAL Restaurants, that assists locally owned and operated businesses each week, providing them with much-needed economic support. Helping animals is also very important to her so she volunteers her marketing expertise to The Rhisotope Project based in South Africa, whose mission is to protect endangered species.
When Shelley isn’t in the office or volunteering, she enjoys spending time with her family – including rescue dog Fred – golf, tennis, polo, horses, and paddleboarding.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I don’t believe there is such a thing as a smooth road, but I do believe that each bump along the way is meant to guide us in the right direction. The bumps or challenges helped me grow and become more experienced in both my personal life and my professional life.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Shelley Wenzel Luxury Real Estate Specialist with Walt Danley Christie’s International Real Estate?
I am a luxury real estate specialist with Walt Danley Christie’s International Real Estate and Allison Cahill & Partners. My professional background began with Mercedes-Benz as one of the few female sales consultants at the time. My extensive sales and negotiation training with Mercedes-Benz and dealing with high-net-worth individuals transfer perfectly into being able to negotiate favorably for my clients and mitigate risk. These are the strengths I bring to the real estate table.
My differentiator would be my ability to make stressful situations as smooth and seamless for my clients as possible. Buying or selling your home can be a very stressful time, so it is important to work with someone you trust and who can bring a little good humor and fun into the process.
I am very proud to be part of the #1 Luxury Real Estate Agency in AZ, Walt Danley Christie’s International Real Estate. Christie’s International Real Estate is not a franchise, you must be invited to be a part of the esteemed Christie’s global brand, and Walt Danley was. Working with the best global real estate professionals in the industry is powerful and I am humbled to be a part of this elite group.
Our global marketing reach is second to none and our global pool of qualified clients looking for properties is an asset to anyone looking to buy or sell their home.
When you work with me, it is ALL ABOUT YOU, the client. Understanding the unique needs of the discriminating client and providing them with unparalleled levels of service is what they will receive.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Persistence. Refusing to give up when things get tough and finding a way to keep moving forward.
Doing the right thing, even if it is the difficult thing.
