Hidden Gems: Meet Rebecca Hidalgo Rains

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rebecca Hidalgo Rains.

Rebecca, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I was originally licensed in 1993 so I have come close to 30 years full-time. I got into real estate because my dad, being a Realtor, sucked me into the business, and afterward I worked for several local builders. I was a sales manager before the market crash, and after the crash, I reinvented myself as a short seller which helped me find a new space in Valley real estate.

As the market recovered I returned to my roots in the building industry by working closely with Mesa home builder Bellago Homes and I am now starting a new venture with Kismet Alternative Construction. For the last three years, our real estate firm has been the number one team in Arizona for Berkshire Hathaway.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The obstacles are things outside of our control. Market conditions make it hard to stay ahead of the market unless you study closely what is going on. Educating myself and my clients is my number one goal so I can stay ahead of any obstacles and serve the best interest of our clients.

The biggest challenge is to stay motivated and optimistic in the face of really bad news about the real estate market.

The last few months have been challenging for agents and you have to be smart to overcome them.

We’ve been impressed with Integrity All Stars at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Since the conception of the company in 2007 we have always put our clients first. We have always stayed very successful because our clients can feel that we care about them no matter what market we are in. We aren’t just high buyers who care about our company we care about the customers that make our company great.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Being forward thinking and always willing to do the homework to understand what is happening in the market. That is why we are the first realty team in the country to be certified for crypto transactions through Propy. Where other people have been fearful of the market we have been fearless.
