Today we’d like to introduce you to Olga Moya

Hi Olga, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m from Bogota, Colombia and move to the United Estates in the 90’s, I was not sure what I wanted to do, I was 19 years old, What I did know was that I had to learn English language, so I’ve enrolled into ESL classes, and also bought cassette course, and in the evenings when I put my two year old to bed I would study for few hours every day. During this time I met someone whom was working for a cleaning company, I’ve distinctly remember asking her if one need it the skill to speak English; in which she replies, “maybe a little”. She would them introduce me with the owner with was a mom & son company at the time, they interviewed me and got the job. I remember he would pick me up and droop me off at every property I was assigned, within three months working for the company they decided to sold the business, I tough there goes my job! As they notify their clients of their decision, few of the customers asked if to was possible I would be able to keep cleaning for them and without any hesitation they gave me few clients to sill give service in the Sun Lakes area. My boss and the customers I gladly served agreed that I took pride on my work and were confident continue to continue exceed their expectations as a solo cleaner. The opportunity was presented to me and I when for it.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It wasn’t easy transition into becoming business owner. When I got started, had absolutely zero experience, nor did I quite know the industry or how to speak fluent English. Finding the time to educate myself on levels both personally and professionally, while growing a business, being a mom/ wife. has proved incredible difficult. However I was determined to take my business to the next level and work towards that goal. Love what I do, has it set itself to be an amazing journey to say the least, but I would it all over again!

Alert Cleaning was established Oct 1995. Last year marked 25 years being in business most definitive a year to remember! Our business join ARCSI, the residential division of ISSA, thought that membership everyone at Alert had learned value information, that help us day in and out. and keeps up in our toes on what are the lattes trends in the cleaning industry. In 2014, we became cleaning partners of Cleaning for A Reason, a non-profit organization that partners with local cleaning companies to provide FREE housecleaning to women’s that are going thought any cancer treatment, I join this nonprofit in honor to my mama as she passed away due to cancer in 1997. When I heard about this organization, tough it was the perfect way to honor her and also give back to the community.
