Hidden Gems: Meet Michael Klinkner of Evolve Counseling & Behavioral Health Services

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Klinkner.

Hi Michael, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I have over 25 years of experience in therapy. I have worked in a variety of settings from hospitals, residential treatment centers, group homes, and private practice.

I have been in private practice for 8 years and with Evolve Counseling & Behavioral Health Services for over 3 years.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The biggest struggles have been seeing an overall increase in mental health issues across the age span. Especially since COVID.

There has been a marked increase in anxiety and depression since that time.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Evolve Counseling & Behavioral Health Services?
Evolve has two locations in the Valley, one in Gilbert and now our newest location in Phoenix. We provide mental health services to children, teens, and adults. We have providers that work with couples and families, and we also have group services both in-person and virtually. What sets us apart is that we have providers that are special with ages or issues that most practices will not work with.

We have providers that work with children as young as 5 years old, other providers who work with teens, and even other providers who work with those in the later stages of life. Also, many of our providers deal with trauma and anxiety-which is rare. I am most proud that we offer high-end clinical services at a variety of different price points, depending on the provider’s experience and expertise.

What are your plans for the future?
We will be opening a third location in the Ahwatukee area over the summer of 2023. We will also be releasing a one-of-a-kind online parenting program that will be this spring.
