So, let me tell you the story of how I started my boudoir business. It all began when I realized how much I wanted to help women feel more confident and beautiful in their skin. Every woman is gorgeous, no matter her age, shape, or size. And that’s the essence of boudoir photography – it’s all about celebrating female beauty in all its forms. As a luxury boudoir photographer, I’ve had the opportunity to witness the transformation that takes place during a photoshoot. It’s empowering not just for the model but for me as well. I feel honored that many women have opened up to me and shared their stories. It’s been a privilege to be there for them and to see firsthand how boudoir photography can be a healing and empowering experience. But my passion for boudoir photography goes beyond just the art itself. As a parent, it’s important to me to help make the world better for both of my daughters. And by challenging the societal expectations of women and their bodies and celebrating their unique beauty, we can make the world a more positive and inclusive place for everyone. Starting my boudoir business has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. Through it, I’ve been able to pursue my passion for photography, build a supportive community, and help women feel unique about themselves.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Marketing my business was one of the biggest obstacles since being a luxury boudoir photographer is a niche field. It’s like trying to find a needle in a haystack, especially with people’s misconceptions about boudoir photography. I will always be working on getting my clients to open up emotionally cause every client is different. Boudoir photography can be intimidating for women, especially when exposing themselves to strangers. As the photographer, it’s my responsibility to create a safe and comfortable space where my clients can feel empowered and confident. Establishing a personal connection and sense of security is essential so that they feel at ease and let their guard down. Once this happens, it’s amazing to see how women transform during a shoot and even more amazing to know that I helped make them feel confident and beautiful.

The biggest obstacle I had to overcome was my self-doubt. I was scared out of my mind that I would fail. Despite this fear, I opened my studio and was fortunate to have the support of some amazing female business owners in the area who helped me push past my fears. They reminded me that I was offering a one-of-a-kind experience to the huge community of women in the White Mountains and surrounding areas.

Despite the challenges, my passion for the boudoir is incredibly rewarding. It’s fulfilling to help women feel confident and beautiful while challenging traditional beauty standards. As a parent, I must help make the world better for my kids. By challenging societal expectations placed on women and celebrating their unique beauty, we can make the world more positive and inclusive for everyone. With hard work, dedication, and a passion for the craft, I overcame these challenges and built a successful luxury boudoir photography business. It’s been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life, and I’m honored to have been a part of so many women’s transformational journeys.
