Hello LuxGive, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
As co-founders of LuxGive, we spent our professional careers building some of the world’s most successful luxury villa rental companies. We believed in the life-changing experience of travel and shared a vision of leveraging our industry expertise to do good.

LuxGive was launched as a way to achieve that vision, by helping nonprofits raise more funds at auctions through once-in-a-lifetime travel experiences. Our trips inspire generous donations by inspiring guests’ imaginations, and that has allowed us to empower thousands of worthy causes worldwide.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Global events have been unkind to everyone these past few years. We launched LuxGive right before the onset of the Covid crisis which unsurprisingly stopped all immediate growth. Not having a big operational team in place proved to be a benefit and the ‘down-time’ meant we had more time to focus on developing our product, marketing materials, and digital infrastructure.

As travel gradually resumed and hotels/resorts continued to struggle with pandemic restrictions, we saw a greater appreciation for the privacy our homes and villas afforded. Our travel experiences allowed donors to stay in safe and socially distanced ways and return to a slower, more personal and thoughtful way of traveling. Most crucially, we were able to continue helping nonprofits raise critical funds during such a challenging time.

We’ve been impressed with LuxGive, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
LuxGive is the leading provider of luxury travel experiences for the nonprofit and fundraising industry. The way it works is simple – nonprofits place our travel packages at their benefit auction or raffle, and donors get a chance to bid on the escape of a lifetime. Travel packages are risk-free, meaning nonprofits keep every dollar raised above the consignment price and don’t owe a thing if an experience doesn’t sell.

Following the event, our hospitality team reaches out to donors to plan their stay from start to finish. Our unique pairing of private homes and villas, authentic local experiences, and world-class hospitality helps nonprofits raise more proceeds at auction than traditional travel packages and fosters a deeper and more personal connection with donors.

With decades of experience in the villa industry, we’ve curated a stunning portfolio of travel experiences worldwide, from Caribbean villas and alpine ski chalets to African safaris, historic Tuscan homes, and championship golf stays.
We’re motivated by the success of our nonprofit and auctioneer partners and are very proud to have raised over $10 million for amazing causes in just 3 years.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
Perseverance and adaptability are key, in both business and life. It was incredible to live through an event that affected all of us globally and see how we each handled it in our way. Pivoting to a virtual/remote working environment required us to navigate our lack of physical presence with clients, partners, and colleagues. We had to make a conscious effort to foster other methods of personal connections to bridge that absence.
