We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
While the journey has been marked by remarkable achievements, it certainly hasn’t been without its challenges. Starting college at just sixteen years old and launching my first business shortly after required navigating spaces where I was often younger and less experienced than those around me. Building a law firm from the ground up and earning recognition as one of the “Top 10 Solo Firms in AZ” demanded relentless ambition, unwavering faith, and countless hours of hard work.

The path of “breaking barriers and defying expectations” inherently means facing obstacles that others haven’t had to overcome. As a woman in law and business, I have had to prove myself repeatedly, working to establish credibility and trust in industries that don’t always make space easily. Serving hundreds of business owners while simultaneously growing my own practice required balancing client needs with business development, a challenge many solo practitioners face.

But my approach to these struggles has always been rooted in service and innovation. Rather than seeing obstacles as roadblocks, i’ve used them as opportunities to find creative solutions and build something even stronger. My commitment to excellence and my faith have been the foundation that carried me through the difficult moments.

Sitting in that room, God downloaded the entire vision to me — not just a business, but a calling. I spent the weekend praying and fasting, searching for a name. While talking to a family member, all I could describe was how activated I felt. That was the moment it clicked: I wanted entrepreneurs to feel the same way — Activated in purpose, in vision, and in their dreams. And so, Activated Law was born.

But the roots of this firm stretch back even further — to when I started my very first business at just sixteen years old on the University of Tennessee campus. Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
When it comes to finding a mentor or building a strong network, my biggest piece of advice is this: be intentional. The relationships that have shaped my journey were built by aligning myself with people whose values, integrity, and vision resonated with the future I was stepping into.

What has worked well for me is understanding that mentorship can come in many forms. Sometimes it’s a formal relationship, but often it’s someone whose example activates something in you, their discipline, their results, their mindset. I observed how they built, how they led, and how they navigated challenges, and I let those lessons shape my own path. Never be afraid to find a mentor no mater what stage of business you are in.

Also, don’t be afraid to learn, willing to ask better questions, and willing to be seen. Aligning yourself with the right communities and people can open doors you didn’t even know existed.
