Alright, thank you for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us how you got started?
I never saw myself as a cosmetic provider or an aesthetic nurse practitioner, but one person mentioned I would be a great injector, and I was curious to try. I started with the dream of finding something I love, and I went with the saying, “do what you love, so you don’t have to work any day for the rest of your life.” In 2018, I decided to join NLI, open my “small business,” and fast-forward to mid-2022. I am so grateful I was encouraged to pursue the field of aesthetic medicine.

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, I feel nothing worth having is a smooth “road” or trip. It has come with personal, emotional, and financial challenges. I had to learn so many things that I cannot even describe here, and the amount of money to specialize in injectables is incredible. At some point in 2019, I considered having an extra job to be able to “afford” the training I felt I needed to become a great injector. It required me to see the glamour of other injectors known in the industry came after long hours of learning skills unrelated to injecting and working to afford to inject full-time “someday.” I feel persistence helped me not to give up this dream of being an advanced aesthetic injector.

Persistency, courage, and willingness to improve me and those supporting my small business. Including all my loyal patients and dear colleagues. We all improve ourselves by feeling more confident under our skins, and I feel blessed and honored to be in this position where I can improve small lines and folds through a few shots.
