Today we’d like to introduce you to Corey McGrath.

Hi Corey, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
So as far as where I am today, I’m very new and have no clientele. How I got to this point is a lot of self-reflection on where I wanted to be and what I wanted to be doing in 5 years. I knew in 5 years I didn’t want to work for a company, so I wanted to own my own business. As far as what I do as far as my photography goes, I am self-taught. I purchased books on different aspects of photography, including how to do ISO, exposure, depth of field, and many other aspects of photography. Anything you have seen on my Instagram or other social media network pages is all I have learned. Now, I am more concerned and focused on finding people willing to be my subjects to show that I can and will continue learning to photograph many different subjects, including nature, cityscapes, and actual people. I am also focusing on getting some paid clients to start making money doing what I love.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been completely smooth. I have struggled with getting clients to start doing business with me. It’s a struggle to start any business, but as soon as that all gets going, I see my business thriving, and I can continue to do the thing I love!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I use professional photography equipment (i.e., Nikon camera, tripod, lenses) to take photos of different subjects, including cityscapes, nature, and people.

2. Complete Digital Photography – Ben Long
3. I love the preinstalled editing apps on iPhones for photos. I don’t like doing complete Photoshop on every photo

• $75.00 for a half hour shoot
• $150.00 for an hour long shoot
