Hidden Gems: Meet Chyanne Perea of Revival Hypnotherapy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chyanne Perea.

Hi Chyanne, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m a respiratory therapist by degree and a certified hypnotherapist and breath work coach by trade. I have loved helping people my whole life. I’ve worked in healthcare for over a decade. After I started learning about all of the natural ways we can heal our bodies, I decided I wanted to do more. Which prompted me to become certified in hypnotherapy!

I’ve been practicing hypnotherapy for 15 years, it’s how I learned to overcome motion sickness/anxiety. Basically, I used to throw up on planes a lot. Since then I’ve used it to ease my depression, combat anxiety, birth my second baby, relieve postpartum struggles, weight loss, curve sugar cravings, and encourage patience with my kiddos.

As a Christian, I believe that God has given us the tools to heal our minds, body, and spirit with Him. I’ve chosen to specialize in women and motherhood because women/mothers are often neglected when it comes to support and care. And I really want to change that. I’ve been through a divorce, heartbreak, birth trauma, miscarriage, anxiety, postpartum depression, stepmotherhood, and motherhood in general! So trust me when I say, I can relate to anything that is going on.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
I’ve had some ups and downs but mostly ups. Frankly, God has given me a clear voice on how this business is growing. The biggest challenge right now is educating everyone about what hypnotherapy really is and how God is included in the experience. A lot of people have the belief that hypnotherapy opens you up to different realms and evil spirits can come in. Or that you lose control of yourself and do things without knowledge. Both are totally false.

The other belief is that hypnotherapy can not be faith-filled. Which is also false because it totally can! God created our mind, body, and spirit. And as it’s stated in Matthew 18:20…. when two or more are gathered He is present. In hypnotherapy sessions at Revival, there is prayer, worship, and so much peace. The Holy Spirit is present in every session.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’ve chosen to specialize in women and motherhood because women/mothers are often neglected when it comes to support and care. From fertility to menopause and everything in between I can help women feel supported and loved. Right now, I’m currently working on RevivalBirth it will be an 8-week one-on-one program that I will offer to moms close to delivery.

What is different about my program versus the other hypnobirthing programs out there is that it is great for all mothers no matter what their birth will look like. Because these sessions are private and not in a group setting, each program is uniquely catered to each mom. You can be having a cesarean, home birth, birth center birth, or hospital birth and this will be an amazing tool.

Whether it’s the first baby or 6th baby moms will be able to obtain something new each time. I’m really excited to offer this as I feel a lot of cesarean moms don’t realize that hypnotherapy is an amazing tool that can help them process their birth as well!

We love surprises, fun facts, and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
I’d say the most surprising thing about me is that my husband and I have six kids. We are a blended family. He has four from a previous marriage and I have one from a previous marriage and then we have one together. Even though I didn’t birth them all I still consider them mine. Their ages range from 17-3. We have 4 boys and 2 girls.
