Hidden Gems: Meet Brandy Pierce of The Repurposing Diva

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandy Pierce.

Hi Brandy, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
When the pandemic hit, I noticed my personal pre-owned items I had listed on OfferUp for many months, even years, started selling randomly and rapidly since people were heavily shopping online and wanting to save money. At that point, I started calling my friends and family, asking them if they had anything they wanted to sell. Well, they all had something or many items they wanted to get rid of and so, The Repurposing Diva was created! Then, in addition to OfferUp, I also started listing items on Facebook Marketplace. Fast forward to today, I have over 100 clients I’m selling for or have sold for, and all my clients are word of mouth referral based! At the time of this interview, I have over 370 five-star reviews and have sold over 700 items including Nike Air Jordan’s (within hours) to three vehicles, a golf cart, lots of furniture, and everything in between!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been an amazing ride however, I’ve grown tremendously fast. Since I’m a one woman show, there have been times where I’ve had an abundance of items to research, price and list, so keeping up has been a challenge at times. I want to be able to provide my clients with my utmost attention to get them top dollar for their items and provide my buyer’s with a boutique like experience.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
The Repurposing Diva is an eco-friendly, financially advantageous approach to home decor. I manage the re-homing of items that have outlasted their stay in one home but have plenty of life left for another. I like to think this offers a chance for people to make money back selling items they no longer need and save money buying pre-owned items; all while doing their bit for the environment by avoiding the time wastage and environmental impact of the traditional retail sales process.

Every client has different furnishings, decor and miscellaneous they want sold, so the eclecticness alone, sets me apart from others. In addition, my vibrant personality, quick response time, organizational/coordinating skills, high ratings and client/buyer trust, is what I’m most proud of for The Repurposing Diva.

What makes you happy?
Great question. Finding a career path I truly love and waking up every day knowing that, makes me naturally happy. Other areas of my life have since become effortless and pure joy, such as my relationships with my two children, my family, and my boyfriend.
