Hi ZaKonya, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Due to the pandemic, I lost business contracts as an Independent Contractor. I didn’t see myself going back into that industry after that situation, so I decided to create my own income.

The pandemic happen in mid-2020, and I launched Maid Mode in July 2021. I started servicing private homes and commercial facilities, but shortly after, our niche became Airbnb and STRs (short-term rentals). It has been an exciting journey with tons of hands-on learning experiences.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth ride, but I wouldn’t change anything.

The challenges and obstacles make the business what it is today. Some of the struggles we have faced along this journey have been, contract cleaners not showing up for scheduled cleaning assignments and problems with clients not paying for service.

As you know, we’re big fans of Maid Mode LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Maid Mode is the business name. We specialize in STR (short-term rental) cleanings, but we have contracts with commercial facilities as well. What sets us apart from other cleaning companies, is that we are partnered with other service providers such as a landscape business, maintenance, and pool cleaning tech, to be more of a property management style company.

We as a brand are most proud of the progress along this venture. We started in 2021 with 1 commercial facility and 3 STR properties. We now have 5 commercial facilities and 11 STR properties with the expectation to add more soon.
