Today we’d like to introduce you to Trisha Roberts.

Hi Trisha, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started working at the age of 14. I worked for a brilliant businesswoman and was lucky she saw my potential. I managed her bookkeeping for small loan businesses throughout high school. I also worked in multiple businesses she owned after graduating. I was awarded scholarships for college, but I didn’t attend. In 2015, I was hired at an insurance company. I was told I needed to be licensed in two weeks and I got it done. I fell in love with the industry and was shortly offered a position in a large Farmer’s agency. I accepted and knew immediately I wanted to be that agent one day. I left insurance for a few years to help build a company for my former boss, but I always knew I would be a Farmer’s Insurance Agent. I pursued that dream in 2019 through a mentorship program and opened my agency in June 2020. We have since qualified number one in Southern NM and in the top 5 for the entire state.

You wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It has been everything but a smooth road. In my early twenties, I struggled with addiction and was at one point homeless. Losing everything you have worked for and returning from that is a struggle. There have always been challenges, but it has always been worth it.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Trisha Roberts Insurance Agency?
We are a Farmers Insurance Agency. We provide auto, home, business, and life insurance. I specialize in business and life insurance. In 2022 we were Southern NM commercial agent of the year and ranked 2nd in life insurance. Our customer service, office culture, and work ethic set us apart. We treat every customer like they are our only. We have a small team of 3, but we produce numbers higher than agencies double our size. We have a great name in our community. We have organized and led events/fundraisers that have allowed us to donate over $25k to people in need within our community. In 2022 we also hosted one of the largest events in the city, with over 3,000 people and 16 food trucks in attendance.

What are your plans for the future?
I plan to build the top agency in New Mexico. I’m also enrolled in school to take on a larger role, possibly. Details still need to be released for that part!
