Today we’d like to introduce you to Tammy Mould.

Hi Tammy, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
For years, I thrived in the health and wellness industry… Rising to the top, building something I was truly proud of. But in the summer of 2023, everything came to a sudden stop. A serious health crisis led to open-heart surgery, and what followed was a sacred season of recovery, rest, and reflection. In that stillness, something shifted. I found myself surrendering fully to God’s plan. Laying down the hustle in exchange for a slower, quieter pace of life, rooted in love, purpose, and the desire to serve others in a way that allows me to be fully present in my own life and others too.

In the stillness of recovery, I began to hear God’s gentle, but loud and clear nudges, calling me into something new. By all means, Letting go of what was comfortable and familiar was not easy…. But I knew I had to trust His plan for my life. That trust led me to photography… A beautiful business where I now get to live out my purpose by loving and serving others in a totally different format .

What started with pro-bono sessions, a few brave friends, and lots of practice shots with family and my four-legged “models,” has grown into a rewarding and joy-filled photography business. From Weddings and Family Milestones to Senior portraits and Lifestyle photography, I’ve been blessed to capture the stories of so many incredible people.

This last year, I’ve also discovered that I especially love working one-on-one with fellow entrepreneurs who are driven not just by success, but by a passion to serve others, with Personal Branding Photography.

God holds the bigger picture of our lives, (which is what I call, the helicopter view)… Even when all we can see is what’s right in front of us. And when we finally let go of our own plans and choose to follow His leading, He will take us to places we never could have imagined… My story is just beginning and I can’t wait to see what and who he brings in front of my camera and into my Tamra lee Photography business in the future. I’m so grateful.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My journey hasn’t been without pain, and stepping into photography was no exception. It didn’t come easy for me… In fact, it was hard. There were moments I questioned myself, felt overwhelmed, and wondered if I’d ever find my place in it. The love, support and help from my husband was everything I needed to keep my foot on the gas pedal. Manual Mode is no easy task. But I kept showing up, kept learning and most importantly, kept trusting that if God had called me to it, He would equip me for it. And now, I can see how even the struggle was part of His greater plan. I have learned so much about myself, about photography and about the goodness of God. His provision and protection over our lives is solid… Even in the mist of the unknown.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I’m a lifestyle and branding photographer who specializes in capturing real moments. I’m not a fan of stiff posing… I love to create. I guide my clients with natural movements and interaction so every image feels genuine and full of life. I’m known for helping people feel relaxed and confident in front of the camera, so their true selves can shine through. It may feel awkward in the beginning… Honestly it does for me too. But, within minutes everyone is comfortable and has a better understanding of what I’m trying to capture.

My business was discovered after a life-changing health crisis, which made me slow down and listen to God’s leading. Photography didn’t come easy, it stretched me… But it’s become one of the most meaningful parts of my journey.

I offer it all… Senior sessions, personal branding, lifestyle portraits, real estate events, family sessions, intimate weddings and my signature silhouette portraits. What I’m most proud of is the peace and joy my clients say they feel, not just in the photos, but during their entire experience. I don’t rush you or our session and I always go above and beyond, even after our session.

Your story matters, and it’s worth capturing with all my heart.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I’ve always been a bit of a risk-taker… But a responsible one. (Naturally… my top strength is Responsibility, so of course I would say that!)

One of the biggest risks I’ve taken in my photography business was saying, “yes” to two friends who took a chance on me. They asked me to photograph their weddings, when I was just a few months in and had never shot a wedding before. I also hadn’t spent that much time behind the camera yet, but they believed in me, and I chose to believe in what God was doing in me.

Jumping in with both feet and becoming a self-taught photographer was definitely a leap of faith. But it’s a risk that’s given me confidence to do hard things with all my heart, soul, and complete trust in Jesus.

Because, let’s be honest… Anyone can take a picture, but shooting in manual mode is a whole different story. So is learning to feel what you shoot, to capture emotion, and then spend hours editing, learning, and building a business from the ground up. It takes vision, grit, and grace.

I’m beyond grateful for every friend and client who took a risk on me,… Who said, “I believe in you,” before I fully believed in myself. That’s been the biggest gift and reward of starting this business. I feel so blessed!
