Hi Nicholas, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.

In 2015, I was part of starting a company called RestorFX that invented Painless Clearcoat Repair (PCR). This technology is our foundation and specialization at SkyGloss. To learn more about that story, check out restofx.com.

This technology has allowed us to solve major problems in the marketplace, especially in the southwest, where sun damage and UV exposure are extreme.

SkyGloss opened its doors in May of 2023, with its first location in Chandler. The needed demand for the service grew and our second location was opened up in Deer Valley in September 2023.

We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?

There are definitely some hurdles we had to overcome. Starting a business, there are always unexpected things.

One of the largest hurdles we had to overcome was dealing with the more intense sun damage that exists here in the southwest compared to other parts of the United States. Because of the severity of damage that some of these vehicles have, we had to introduce our ReColoring technique to be able to repair more severe damage.

Our ReColoring technique allows us to lay a new base and color before we do a ReGloss Paintless Clearcoat Repair technique. This has proven to be very successful in solving the problems of more severely oxidized sun-damaged vehicles.

Now, we can offer a comprehensive package regardless of the condition of the vehicle.

ReColor specializes in restoring the vibrancy, color, depth, and integrity of the vehicle’s paint color while also addressing any clearcoat imperfections, particularly in areas where PCR alone may not suffice. This service is tailored to rejuvenate the overall appearance of the vehicle, especially for more damaged areas that require specialized attention.

SkyGloss believes that a vehicle’s paint finish should hold up as long as the engine does.

What problems does SkyGloss solve? Modern vehicle manufacturers have started finishing cars with a thinner, weaker clear coat that does not have the strength & integrity necessary to hold up long against the elements on the road. SkyGloss fixes the damage in a vehicle’s paint finish, restores it to its original glossy brilliance, and upgrades the clearcoat to give it the thickness, strength, and integrity necessary to keep it glossy for years to come.

We use unique and innovative techniques to solve vehicle paint finish problems that almost every car will develop. What makes SkyGloss different from the competition? Traditional body shops will repaint a car, which is more expensive and takes a lot longer.

Detail shops will polish a car, which shaves off the already lacking, weak clearcoat – so while it may look good for a short time after the initial polish, that is not a long-term solution and will actually cause more damage in the long term since every polish takes off more clearcoat leaving the paint more vulnerable to damage.

Body shops usually only touch certain panels that are necessary. The rest of the car doesn’t get touched.

SkyGloss gives a permanent result that covers the entire car. We are redefining what an ideal paint correction actually is – which is not just the paint correction but also building up the outer clearcoat layer, which will protect that paint for longer against the elements of the road.

I’ve had the privilege and opportunity to partner and work with my brother-in-law, Daniel Mcintire, who has an extensive background in marketing and social media.

Daniel’s experience has allowed us to enter the marketplace in a powerful way, plowing everyday people to know about what we offer and articulating clearly how we can help the existing issues.

Daniel continues to serve as our Social Media Director and will continue to push those avenues for continued public awareness for SkyGloss.
