Exploring Life & Business with Missy Frazelle of Missy Frazelle, LLC.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Missy Frazelle.

Missy Frazelle

Hi Missy, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Missy Frazelle, FNP-BC, is a native Phoenician. She is an Integrative Nurse Practitioner with a background in oncology and internal medicine. She started receiving training in functional medicine in 2013 while getting her master’s degree at Loyola University Chicago in nursing. Her interest in healing started far before this though in nursing school when she found yoga practices and nutrition as a way to cope with anxiety and stress. She ultimately did yoga teacher training at Kripalu and went on to become an oncology nurse and then nurse practitioner at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. She wanted to get back to preventative medicine so she began working at the Raby Institute for Integrative Medicine at Northwestern in Chicago (2017-2021). During COVID, she moved back to AZ with her family. To this day, Missy works with patients to cultivate a unique approach to patient care, looking at the whole person and getting to the “root cause” of disease and suffering. She combines a multifaceted approach– not just focusing on physical ailments, but emotional as well. Missy believes the body does indeed keep the score. She integrates tools for healing from western medicine, eastern medicine, and offers guidance on inner healing from a more embodied and/or spiritual place. Integrating the mind, body, and soul is her goal; allowing patients to live their best and happiest lives! Her interests include: anti-aging, hormone therapy, mental health/nervous system regulation, gut health, thyroid disorder, cardiovascular and metabolic disease. She has practiced at the Raby Institute for Integrative Medicine at Northwestern in Chicago (2017-2021) and currently practices at Internal Medicine of Arizona in Phoenix (2021-present). She has a board certification in Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) and is a Reiki and Akashic Records Practitioner. In April 2024, she opened her own practice, Missy Frazelle, LLC., to reach more patients in the integrative and functional medicine space who are looking to truly get to the root cause of their health issues.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The biggest struggle for me has been diving deep into creating my own way of practicing medicine. Conventional medicine often fails to heal individuals whose symptoms and lab tests don’t point to an obvious diagnosis or a clear treatment path. I work with patients to find the unknown sources of disease and empower them to work to heal themselves in the process. Expanding into a role of not just being a medical provider, but a source of support in my patients journeys has been inspiring and challenging.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
