Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Holzer.

Hi Michael, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I moved from New York to California and started posting soccer videos on Instagram. Within the first week, my videos sort of went viral, and people reached out to me for private soccer training.

From there, my business grew quickly through word of mouth. I’m booked every day with 12-14 sessions per day and I have a waiting list for training. I expanded my soccer coaching business and throw soccer camps and programs throughout Southern California and started a soccer party event company called SoCal Soccer Party.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I work long hours and drive far for work every day, so I would love to see my wife more.

As you know, we’re big fans of Coach Michael Holzer. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
My business offers soccer training for individuals, groups, and teams for players of all levels and ages. I train professional players, national team players, youth players, adult players, beginners, and celebrities. I also throw soccer camps throughout Southern California with sold-out lists and feedback from parents and players saying my soccer camps are the best they’ve ever attended. I recently started a company with my wife called SoCal Soccer Party, which is the first full-service soccer party and event company. We throw soccer parties and events for birthdays, celebrations, private soccer camps, and corporate events. All of my businesses really tie in with everything related to soccer.

I’m most proud of what I’ve been able to accomplish and build from the ground up. I started my business from nothing during the COVID-19 pandemic, not knowing anybody and didn’t have any clients in California, to a successful business in only a few months. I’m grateful for my clients who put their trust in me to help them and their kids improve in soccer.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
The soccer industry is growing massively, especially in the United States due to a few reasons, one being that the next World Cup is coming to the USA and more kids play soccer, including both boys and girls.
