Exploring Life & Business with Lizette López of Hermosa Esthetics

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lizette López.

Hi Lizette, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey started in 2019, I started school to become an esthetician because I knew my purpose was to help others and pour into them. I was always interested in all things beauty but over time I shifted my focus and passion over to skin health. That’s when it all snowballed into opening up my own business to share my knowledge with my community. I was raised in West Phoenix and I was also raised on beauty hacks to penny pinch but still feel confident. I knew I wanted my space to cater to woman who wouldn’t otherwise invest in themselves because they considered it a luxurious treatment that wasn’t always necessary. I wanted to change that narrative though because I quickly learned when I became a mother, an hour of peace and quiet and pampering was so good for my mental health and self esteem. I love being a Spanish speaking provider to help women and men of all ages to learn to love the skin they’re in and teach them how to take care of it, even on a budget. I feel so grateful that my business has grown and thrived from mainly word of mouth referrals. I now have served my clients for 5 years and I can proudly say majority of clients I started with are still here and so are their moms, sisters, husbands, best friends, aunts, grandmothers. It’s such a blessing and I’m happy to be here as long as Phoenix will have me.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I made a bold move and opened my business in 2020 with zero clients, in the middle of the covid pandemic, and with a new baby. If I was speaking to a fresh graduate from esthetics school and they told me this was their plan I would have told them to go back to the drawing board. But I knew that everything would be okay even though I opened during the peak of social distancing. Something in my gut just told me to trust the process and I’m so happy I pushed through the fear, because on the other side of fear is greatness. Plus my faith in the Lord has always moved mountains for me.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am an esthetician who offers personalized facials, I am an acne specialist, I retail what I consider to be the best skincare, I also offer corrective treatments such as chemical peels, Microneedling, and I also remove skin tags. I am known for the glow you leave my treatment room with, all I need is an hour and your skin will be rejuvenated! I believe what sets me apart from others is that I take so much pride in my work and I always want my clients to feel satisfied and like they’re getting taken care of like family. I love providing not just a facial but an experience you’ll rave about to your friends and family. I am most proud of being a bilingual business where my clients can bring their moms and nanas and know they’ll be in a safe and comfortable space. I love that I am affordable because my goal is to be accessible to all people who need it and don’t prioritize themselves. I am located on Central and Thomas and would love to help you achieve your skin goals!
