Today we’d like to introduce you to Lindsey Jensen.

Hi Lindsey, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am from Minnesota and graduated from beauty school in 2005. While working for an Infertility Center in Minnesota, I’ve always loved doing hair on the side. In 2014 I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and suffered from left-side numbness and occasional pain. The cold weather was hard on my mental health and body, so I bought a house in Arizona in 2019 without intending to work as a hairdresser. However, as many medical professionals will agree, Covid changed the behavior of my infertility patients, and my heart wasn’t in it anymore; after over 15 years of being in the baby-making business, I decided to call it quits. I kept seeing the mobile dog groomers rolling around my community, and I wondered why this wasn’t available to humans. I investigated further, and it is a salon license type in Arizona. So I planned, started my LLC, and applied for the “Retrofitted Mobile Salon” license; I bought a trailer and truck and turned the trailer into a full-service mobile hair salon. We now have two of them!

We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Struggles have been battling the heat during the summer months, affecting how fast colors process and the client’s comfort level. There have also been many mechanical issues, including generator glitches, plumbing hiccups, and water shortages when doing more than 5 hair services daily. I’m just so lucky to have a handy assistant at my side.

We offer a full-service mobile Beauty Salon. We come to your door ahead of your scheduled appointment time, it takes about 3 minutes for us to set up, and then we text you to come on out. You’re greeted with a big smile, and we execute your desired hair requests! We save you drive time from leaving your family for a long hair appointment and can bulk the family into 1 custom salon Day. We now have a wheelchair-accessible mobile salon with 2 stations. Great for people with disabilities, weddings, Bachelorette parties, little birthday parties, and families! We offer complimentary mimosas and Shirley Temples for the littles. We plan to be at Country Thunder in 2024 to provide hair washes/styles for concertgoers!

What makes you happy?
I love making people feel good! Seeing a smile and selfies after a makeover and then getting “I love my hair” texts days/weeks later is the absolute best! Mental illness is a common diagnosis these days, and if myself/my team can make someone feel better for even just a day, it completes my day.
