Exploring Life & Business with Kylie Churnetski of PWHRFL

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kylie Churnetski.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My experiences in the healthcare industry started early in life because I was on the patient side of the realm. I grew up seeing many doctors and specialists because I struggled with multiple autoimmune and chronic conditions as well as GI troubles and food allergies.

It was a frustrating, long, and especially scary time to be 8, then 10, and 13, and then 16 and so on not having a real grip on your health or the quality of life that came with those experiences.

At age 17, I started taking my health into my own hands and realized my lifestyle played one of the largest factors in how I felt. I was able to significantly minimize my symptoms by customizing my lifestyle to where I was and what I needed.

This led me down the path of my integrative and functional health career. I really describe it more as an “avalanche.” In 2016, I became a Yoga Teacher. In the following years, I added 3 group fitness certifications and a personal trainer to my resume. I completed my degree in Nutrition, Dietetics at Arizona State University and a minor in Health and Wellness Coaching. This further led to my certification as a Nationally Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach. Snowballing further down the avalanche, I continued my yoga training throughout my undergraduate degree to become a 500-hour Yoga Therapist. After completing initial schooling, I accepted a residency at Lipscomb University where I completed graduate schooling, research with the International Research Board, and rotations at Vanderbilt.

All of this finally led up to become a Registered Dietitian. So needless to say, I have had my own immersive experience in the health field. In my private practice, I look at internal, physical, and mental health to look at a person as a whole to achieve optimal health.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I preach to my clients: If there aren’t challenges, you’re not learning and growing!

No matter what personal challenges I have faced, I see them as a learning experience to plan ahead for more optimal growth in the future.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I specialize in Women’s Health. I ultimately help women build healthier lives & bodies through an integrative approach.

If you read through my “avalanche” experience, what sets me apart is that I have qualifications and certifications that allow me to dive into nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle in a way where I look at the whole person… in other realms, you might have multiple specialists to see the same results.

Through my signature program, we create a routine that is realistic to your routine and lifestyle and is also customized to your needs and goals.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
One thing I love about the general Phoenix area is the inclusivity of food preferences and allergies.

As someone who constantly is checking the menus of restaurants to see what I can eat there– I am so grateful for how many restaurants provide gluten-free and dairy-free options!
