Hi Kristine, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Several years ago, my mother suffered a life-altering stroke. In an instant, I went from physician to daughter—navigating a hospital stay, post-acute care, and the heartbreak of watching a preventable condition permanently change someone I love. It was a profound wake-up call.

That experience made me reflect not only on my role as a daughter, but also as a physician—and the difference it makes when we act before disease takes hold.

I began my medical career as an internist from 1991-1995 before discovering my passion for dermatology in 1995. For two decades, I built my reputation through Mohs surgery and aesthetic medicine as the founder of Camelback Dermatology & Skin Surgery in Phoenix. Today, I care for patients in aesthetic and regenerative dermatology at my holistic longevity practice, BelleSante (“Beautiful Health”), founded in 2023—but my scope has expanded dramatically.

At BelleSante, we continue to practice what I’ve spent more than 25 years perfecting: advanced aesthetic dermatology that helps patients look younger—refreshed, natural, and unmistakably themselves. But today, we pair that external transformation with something deeper: helping patients age younger on the inside, at the cellular level, through BioSculpt Functional Genomics™.

I didn’t set out to build a genomics program—my mother’s stroke set me on that path. It was the moment I realized prevention and longevity had to become an integral part of the care I offered at BelleSante.

My mother’s experience pushed me toward something new and empowering. In my search for answers, I began with advanced genomic testing on myself and my family. We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has not been a perfectly smooth road—but I don’t think meaningful work ever is. Any time you introduce a new idea or a different way of thinking, there’s a period of misunderstanding or a lack of clarity around the concepts themselves. Innovation often requires people to unlearn before they can fully understand, and that process takes time.

In medicine especially, resilience means staying committed to your vision long enough for the outcomes to speak for themselves. There were moments when our approach—more personalized, more data-driven, more integrative—was ahead of common understanding. Rather than compromise, we focused on education, consistency, and delivering measurable results for our patients.

Over time, those results created clarity. Patient outcomes became the proof point. The challenges didn’t derail the mission—they strengthened it. They reinforced the importance of delivering healthcare thoughtfully and precisely, with long-term prevention in mind. This is ultimately what BelleSante stands for.
