Exploring Life & Business with Kimberly Carr of Broker’s Hub Realty, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimberly Carr.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started my journey in real estate in December of 2016. However, technically I started my real estate experience in 1994 when I purchased my first home. My first of 7 homes. I have always loved home shopping!
In 2016 my husband and I were running a pest control business, and the summers were our slow time. We decided we needed something to occupy our down time and buying properties needing renovations seemed like a great way to build extra wealth.
I attended Arizona School of Real Estate and Business to obtain my license.
Following becoming licensed my friends and family were so excited, I spent the next two years working real estate full time completing transactions.
In 2018, my husband became the owner of the pest control business. With new ownership responsibilities, I had to shift some of my focus away from real estate. However, I stayed active and enjoyed working with clients referred from friends for the next 4 years.
At that time, I also started a search throughout the east valley for the perfect property where we could merge our business needs with our home needs. Having grown up in a rural Nebraska community with wide open spaces, those acreage properties really spoke to me. This led to gaining a lot of knowledge about large acreage properties throughout the east valley. I started to love finding the pockets of horse properties that pop up inside the city limits or on county islands. Sadly, my husband never got to see the property we’d dreamed about.
In 2022, my husband was diagnosed with a rare form of stage 4 Esophageal Cancer. In 9 short months he lost his life to that disease, and suddenly I was flung into being a sole owner of a very busy business I did not have expertise in. In my grief, I strategically hired staff to place throughout my company and help it run more efficiently. At the same time, I started to focus back on that love of acreage properties. In December 2022 I moved my family to 2.5 acres in the east valley. With my new start came a strong ambition to get back into real estate full time.
In December 2025, I became a part of the Jennuine Living Team with Broker’s Hub Realty. Broker’s Hub Realty is different because 80% of the Agents there are also Associate Brokers. Brokers receive three times the annual education of a Real Estate Agent. This helps our Brokerage offer clients an outstanding experience backed by knowledge and real care for the client.
I’m excited to see what 2026 brings with my change to BHR. My focus this year will be on acreage (luxury and horse) properties throughout the east valley.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The real estate market is never a smooth road. Politics, interest rates, and availability of properties always keep agents on their toes. You couple those things with a terminal illness at home, and there were difficult times for sure. Sometimes, I felt like giving up. But then someone would ask me to help them, and I would remember why I chose to be a Realtor.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Broker’s Hub Realty is made up of better than 80% Agents who are also Brokers. Brokers receive triple the annual education. This sets us apart from other brokerages. I’m very proud to be a part of the Jennuine Living Team within the Brokerage. Our team strongly believes that each client has a story. Being part of such a big decision, like buying a home, should bring that client real joy. We do real estate with heart, and that’s exactly why I’m so proud to be a part of the team. Whether a client is buying or selling, or just asking questions they are valued, and we actually cultivate a relationship with them getting to know them and understand their life, wants and needs so we can better help them in their personal real estate journey.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I feel very lucky that I was able to obtain my license and be in such a place in my life that I can focus so intently on serving others. I’ve been so lucky to meet people along the way in my real estate career that truly have my best interest at heart. They see me and understand my heart for people. Thus, through referrals from those network partners, I’ve made it to where I am today. And I’m so excited to be here!
