Today we’d like to introduce you to Kendra Harris.

Hi Kendra, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Ive been a medspa owner for the last 13 years. Over the last 13 years i have opened 3 locations in gilbert, chandler and queen creek offering the best in medspa and aesthetics services. I wanted to create a space everyone felt welcome, heard, cared for, and got the results they wanted. Ive always been very passionate about education. My team does continued ed every single month to make sure we are always offering our guests the best. Two years ago my dear friend and now school director, Paula hatch, came to me and told me that we needed to open an aesthetics school here in gilbert. For a moment i thought she was insane, but quickly realized that she was SO right. Arizona has no schools for top-notch, quality skincare education. Anyone holding a license can tell you that their education was sub-par at best (myself included). I wanted to bring the same quality in customer service, education, community and support, to the educational field. We teamed up with the best educators we could find and The Institute was born. We wanted to open Arizona’s best aesthetics school, so we did that! I have extremely high expectations for my staff. I want this space to be inclusive, positive, vibrant and exciting for all our students that walk in our school. We have been open since Sep 2024 and actually just had our very first graduation last weekend where we celebrated 30 of our students becoming licensed aestheticians.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
This has been one of the best but hands down, hardest thing ive done in my life. The biggest struggle we have had is finding educators who truly care about the well-being of their students as much as we do. When i say we want to be the best, i mean that, that means our educators also have to be top notch. While ive been put in some of the craziest positions of my life (no exaggeration) we have found our most perfect team, and truly cant wait to see it grow and evolve from here!

I have found all my success putting my trust in God and allowing him to guide me through life.
Finding authetic and lasting relationships with other business owners has helped guide me to systems, “dos”, “dont” and so much more that we have faced. I have a wonderful community of other business owners and friends who help influence steps that we make. All for the betterment of our community.
