Exploring Life & Business with Justine Grace Garcia of Justine Grace Photo + Film

Today we’d like to introduce you to Justine Grace Garcia.

Justine Grace Garcia

Hi Justine, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I first picked up my camera at the age of 13. My mom brought home a DSLR camera to document our trips, and once I got my hands on it, I fell in love. I took photography classes in high school and enrolled in online courses during college.

I decided to make a business out of photography years later during the pandemic and here we are! We’re adding videography as a part of our services to better serve our couples.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
In every endeavor you pick up, you’ll have your highs and lows. When I entered the business world, I was aware of this. Was I prepared? I thought I was, but we never really are. Business and entrepreneurship aren’t for the faint of heart.

You have your good days, and man are those the best days ever. Then you have your bad days where you just want to give up and throw in the towel. My couples and my circle keep me going!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Justine Grace Photo + Film is an Arizona-based wedding photography and videography company. We are a husband and wife team, and we love to document our couples’ love stories.

I think what sets us apart in the industry is our heart for service and how well we serve our couples, not just on their wedding day but the days and months leading up to it! Wedding planning can feel isolating and stressful, and so we really just try to be there for our couples. We’re their friends first and foremost, wedding vendors second.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
The sunset. There is nothing like Arizona’s sunset. We’ve been photographing for years; we’ve seen different sunsets and various colors painted on the skies. With every sunset, we’re still in awe and astonished at how beautiful it is.

I have to be honest; I really hate the traffic. What’s worse is getting stuck in the traffic during the summer. No amount of AC can cool the car down!!!
