Hi Jeremiah, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory. 
Spicy Señorita Salsa is more than just a salsa brand; it’s a heartfelt homage to our late mother. She laid the foundation for our authentic fresh taste by her love for entertaining, cooking, and enjoying life’s pleasures such as sipping margaritas on the beaches of Mexico. Our Salsa recipe (born in our mother’s kitchen) reflects her discerning taste and passion for fresh, quality ingredients. 

Over the years, we’ve refined and perfected our unique blend, creating a product that embodies the essence of her culinary spirit. Even though our mother is no longer with us, her influence continues to shape Spicy Señorita Salsa. Every jar we produce is a tribute to her memory, a continuation of the warmth and joy she brought to gatherings. We’re confident that she would take pride in what our company has become. So, when you enjoy a jar of Spicy Señorita Salsa, you’re not just savoring a delicious blend of flavors; you’re partaking in a legacy of love, family, and the celebration of life inspired by our mother indomitable spirit. 

I was born and raised on the great state of Arizona, where my passion for Mexican cuisine, salsa, and bold flavors took root early in life. The culinary journey became even more enriching when my mother, Sherri, remarried, transforming our family into a fusion of cultures. Our shared experiences included memorable trips and visits from extended family hailing in from New Mexico. 

Under Sherrie’s culinary guidance, our home welcomed a delightful infusion of Mexican flavors, highlighted by her creative use of hatch green chilis. Witnessing my mother’s unwavering commitment to family life instilled in me the values of perseverance, hard work, and the courage to confront challenges head-on. In her retirement, Sherri and I endeavored to bring her unique recipes to fruition. 

Regrettably, her life was tragically cut short, but I resolved to carry on her legacy by continuing to craft her salsa recipes for friends and family. The growing acclaim for the flavors prompted encouragement to share our culinary creations with a broader audience. In 2023, we made the decision to unveil our distinctive tastes to the world, collaborating with a local Arizona manufacturer. Presently, our products are available through online platforms, farmers markets, and the esteemed D’Vine Gourmet in Chandler, AZ. 

Our logo is Sherrie – She would frequently host gatherings where she became the lively spirit of the party. Most events featured salsa for everyone to relish. The inclusion of skeletons and “Day of the Dead” face paint celebrated a Mexican tradition honoring the departed, a poignant homage to the people we’ve lost in the world. With each jar we sell, we commemorate the joy we were fortunate to experience with her. 

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
This is a great question; the primary challenge lies in transitioning the petite kitchen recipe to a scalable production. Another significant obstacle revolves around effectively introducing our exceptional salsa to potential customers. Typically, once individuals experience the delightful taste, they express a desire for more. However, as in any new venture, there is a steep learning curve. We look forward to the growth and additional challenges to come. 

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Spicy Señorita Salsa?
We distinguish ourselves from most other salas by a genuine, untainted flavor in bit. Our primary blend, categorized as Medium, comprises solely on ten freshly sourced ingredients and with no added preservatives. Utilizing our certified clean manufacturing facility, we cook our batches and promptly seal them in jars through a vacuum process. This streamlined manufacturing approach empowers us to establish a “go-to-date” certification for a span of up to 15 months, allowing nationwide shipment and enabling customers to stock additional jars for future use. Even when opened months after purchase, a jar will retain its initial freshness. Our recipe ensures the full profile in every bite, providing a gratifying warmth that unfolds in your mouth. 

What were you like growing up?
During my childhood, I was an adventurous young boy who thrived on staying constantly engaged in various activities such as camping, fishing, skiing, and baseball. My entrepreneurial spirit was evident early on. In grade school, I observed that the vending machines lacked gum, prompting me to buy it in bulk and sell it to my fellow students. After completing high school, I enrolled at ASU, initially pursuing the aviation program before ultimately switching to a B.S. in Marketing at the W.P. Carey School of Business. 

I was fortunate to explore different jobs, acquiring a diverse set of skills that paved the way for a successful career in financial services. Outside of work, I find joy in spending time with my wife and three children. Our family actively participates in various aspects of local retail, fostering face-to-face connections. During moments of leisure, I indulge in activities such as snowboarding and golfing.
