Exploring Life & Business with Jennifer Klemmetson of Breathe & Flow Yoga with Jennifer

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Klemmetson.

Hi Jennifer, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My background is actually in content and storytelling, so for years I lived in a very fast-paced, always-online world. I originally came to yoga as a way to slow down and manage stress, but it quickly became something much more meaningful. It helped me reconnect with myself and create real balance in my life.

As I went through training, I realized I was especially drawn to making yoga feel welcoming and accessible for people who might not see themselves in a traditional studio space. That’s what led me to community classes and to things like Poses & Pages, where we can bring together movement, breath and a love of books in a way that feels relaxed and inclusive.

Now teaching feels like an extension of everything I care about: building connection, creating supportive spaces and helping people step away from the noise for a little while and just be present.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely wasn’t a straight path. I found yoga during a really challenging year in my personal life, and it became a way for me to breathe again and feel grounded. I finished my teacher training right at the start of the COVID lockdowns, so the teaching world looked very different from what I expected, and at the same time, I was navigating a full family life, including medical needs, foster care and adoption.

So there were a lot of moments where I had to be flexible, patient and let go of the idea that the journey had to look a certain way.

Looking back, I’m actually really grateful for all of that, because it taught me resilience and how to meet people with more compassion. It’s a big part of why my classes are so focused on being welcoming and real. Yoga doesn’t have to happen in perfect conditions to be meaningful.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I teach community-centered, accessible yoga with a focus on making the practice feel welcoming to real people in real life. Most of my classes are gentle, chair-supported or slower-paced, which makes them a great fit for beginners, active older adults, and anyone who’s ever thought, “I’m not flexible enough for yoga.”

What really sets my offerings apart is the way I blend yoga with connection. Events like Poses & Pages are a perfect example: they bring together movement, breath and a love of books in a cozy, low-pressure environment where people can just show up as they are. I also intentionally teach in public and community spaces, because I want yoga to feel visible and accessible, not intimidating or exclusive.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud that my work reflects a full, real life. I’m a mom, a professional in a completely different field and a yoga teacher. I don’t separate those worlds. My whole philosophy is about balance and sustainability, and I think people feel that when they walk into class.

What I want readers to know is that this is a space where you don’t have to be “good at yoga” to belong. If you can breathe, you can do yoga and there’s a place for you here.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
So much of this has been shaped by community. The places I practiced in and the teachers who led my training gave me the foundation and modeled the kind of welcoming, compassionate yoga spaces I try to create now.

My friends and family have been incredible cheerleaders, always showing up for classes, helping spread the word and encouraging me through the busy seasons of life.

And I’m especially grateful to the local business owners and event organizers who have invited me to teach in their spaces. Poses & Pages, book club yoga and public classes only exist because people are willing to collaborate and bring wellness into the community in creative ways.
