Today we’d like to introduce you to Jen Stone.
Hi Jen, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My journey has been anything but linear, but when I look back, there’s actually been a consistent thread running through it: I’ve always been fascinated by people, personal growth, and understanding what helps us thrive.
I started my career in the corporate world, where I spent about 12 years working in forensics and audit. While I valued the structure and discipline of that environment, I found myself repeatedly drawn to opportunities to teach, mentor, develop people, and help others see possibilities they couldn’t always see for themselves.
Eventually, I took the leap into entrepreneurship and built my own business in 2012. That’s where my curiosity about Feng Shui and Chinese metaphysics grew into something much deeper. I studied Classical Feng Shui and BaZi, eventually becoming an internationally accredited Feng Shui Master through the International Feng Shui Association (Singapore) and an official representative and instructor of the prestigious Raymond Lo School of Feng Shui & Destiny. I began working with clients to help them better understand the relationship between their environment, timing, energy, and personal choices.
Today, my work brings together Feng Shui consulting, BaZi Life Coaching, teaching, and speaking. What I love most is making these ancient systems practical and relevant to modern life—not as a way of predicting someone’s future, but as tools for greater self-awareness and more intentional decision-making.
Looking back, I don’t see my corporate career and entrepreneurial journey as two separate chapters. The skills I developed early on—analysis, teaching, mentoring, communication, and working with people—became the foundation for what I do today. In many ways, I simply followed the things that energized me most, and they eventually led me here.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not always. One of the biggest challenges has been building a business around something that many people simply don’t understand or may have misconceptions about. When you’re introducing people to concepts like Feng Shui and BaZi, there’s often a need to first explain what they are, what they aren’t, and most importantly, how they can actually add value to someone’s life.
That’s why teaching, educating, sharing, and speaking about these subjects has become such an important part of my work.
Education isn’t just something I enjoy; it’s foundational to what I offer. Before someone can experience the value of these tools, they need to understand them. I see it as part of my role to make these ancient practices accessible, practical, and relevant to modern life. The more people understand, the more they can make informed choices about how they want to use these tools for themselves.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At its heart, Feng Shui by Jen® is about helping people better understand themselves, their environments, and the timing of their lives. My work brings together Classical Feng Shui, BaZi (Chinese astrology and destiny analysis), and coaching to help people make more intentional and empowered decisions in both their personal and professional lives.
Through private consultations, BaZi coaching, speaking, workshops, courses, and educational content, I help people understand their personal energy, recognize patterns and opportunities, and create environments that better support what they’re trying to accomplish.
What sets my work apart is the emphasis on education. I don’t want people to simply follow a list of Feng Shui “rules” or receive a prediction about their future. I want them to understand the why behind the recommendations and learn how to apply these principles for themselves. My approach is grounded in the traditional teachings I’ve studied, while translating them into language and tools that feel relevant to today’s world.
One of the things I’m most proud of about the brand is that education has become such a strong part of its identity. Whether I’m working one-on-one with a client, teaching a class, speaking to an audience, or creating content online, my goal is the same: to demystify these subjects and show people their practical value.
Ultimately, I want readers to know that Feng Shui and BaZi are much more than décor, superstition, or fortune-telling. They can be powerful frameworks for self-awareness, timing, decision-making, and creating greater alignment in our lives. That intersection of ancient wisdom and modern personal growth is really at the heart of Feng Shui by Jen®.
What are your plans for the future?
I want to continue growing beyond one-on-one consulting and create more opportunities to educate people through speaking, workshops, courses, community, and accessible online content.
A big part of my vision is to make Feng Shui and BaZi more approachable for audiences who may have never encountered these subjects before. I see tremendous potential in bringing these traditional practices into conversations around personal growth, executive leadership, wellness, career, relationships, and intentional living.
I’m also looking forward to expanding my work as a teacher and speaker. Teaching has always been one of the most rewarding parts of my career, and I’d love to reach larger audiences through women’s events, corporate and professional settings, retreats, even in higher education.
Ultimately, I’m not looking to simply build a bigger business—I want to build a bigger impact. I want Feng Shui by Jen® to be known as a trusted, educational, and modern voice for Classical Feng Shui and BaZi, while honoring the traditional teachings and making them meaningful for the way we live today.
