Hi Jason, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Since 2011, A grass roots brand founded in the Grand Canyon, and not a board room, Canyon Coolers has pioneered unique ultra-durable, high-performance coolers and ice chests for extreme adventures in the most hostile environments. Our 100K+ engaged and discerning fans appreciate our purpose-built products keeping food and drinks cold, whether you’re on a long float through a scorching hot canyon, scouring the high desert during a two-week September elk hunt, or just taking the family on a summer road trip.

Jason Costello is the Founder and CEO of Canyon Coolers. He’s been running rivers, off roading, and camping since landing in Flagstaff Arizona back in 1990. The companies humble beginnings meant long nights, stubborn optimism and a naive foolishness that we could take on billion dollar brands. . We always stood behind our products, honored our clients and sharpened our crafts. Slowly growing a cult like following amongst its fans.

Canyon’s modern designs can be found in fine retailers around the Mountain West. Including Phoenix retailers such as Desert Rat, Scheel’s, Ross Outdoors and select Ace Hardware stores.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Like all small businesses logistics, cash flow, and unpredictability can create hick ups. A large distributor going bankrupt, and another large chain going through uphevel had at times created large setbacks. Canyon Coolers has since then largely relied on small independent retailers. to both spread risk but offer clients the best and most personal experience.

Competing in an industry dominated by large players has had its challenges. OUr revenue cant match the marketing spend the big guys have. We have chosen to do what they cannot. We support local conservation efforts we treat clients like family, with an awesome VIP Warranty, and we design in features they lack.
