Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabriel & Stephanie Montoya.

Hi Gabriel & Stephanie , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
We met in massage school back in 2013, and life kind of took off from there. We finished school in 2014, got married in 2015, and spent years working in spas, chiropractor offices, and doing our own thing on the side.

In 2019, we had our son—and like a lot of new parents, we had to figure out how to balance work and family. For a while, we worked opposite schedules just to make it all work and be there for him.

In 2020, we moved to a community in Buckeye called Verrado and decided it was time to build something for ourselves. We started LazyDaze right out of our home just the two of us, one massage room, and a busy schedule. Word of mouth and social media was huge for us, and thanks to this amazing community, our little business grew.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
When the pandemic hit, we both lost our massage jobs in California and couldn’t work for nearly nine months. It was one of the hardest times we’ve faced, but it also pushed us to make a big change.

We moved to Arizona to start fresh and build something of our own. Starting over meant rebuilding our entire clientele from scratch in a new place—but we stayed focused, kept showing up, and trusted the process.

Now, thanks to word of mouth and an incredibly supportive community, LazyDaze has grown into the full-time business we dreamed of.

We’ve been impressed with LazyDaze Massage & Wellness, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
LazyDaze is a home-based massage practice focused on helping people relax, reset, and feel their best. We specialize in therapeutic massage that blends deep relaxation with real results, tailored to each client.

The name LazyDaze came from that dreamy, heavy feeling after a great massage—when you feel totally relaxed, a little lazy, and in a daze. That’s the experience we aim to give every person who walks through our door.

We’re proud to have built our business in the time that we have. With over 350 five-star reviews and a growing client base, our business has become a trusted space for wellness and connection in our community.

We enjoy listening to the Joe Rogan Experience—it sparks a lot of interesting conversations between us and keeps us thinking outside the box. We also love watching videos of different massage techniques, especially ones that focus on stretching and mobility. It helps us stay inspired and keeps our sessions fresh and customized for each client. We’re always learning and finding new ways to improve what we do.
