Today we’d like to introduce you to David Jason Silver.
David Jason, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I was not the greatest student growing up, but I had determination and ideas, which is hard to find in today’s business environment. In early 2008 and beyond I constructed a deal with former 3X Term United States Senator Dennis DeConcini Family, this was a pinnacle for me. I had also done deals with a bank, a famous family that had a son Todd Fields, who was a movie producer in Hollywood and remarkably close to Mission Impossible Tom Cruise. Growing up with an IRS former Prosecutor lawyer dad you learned really quick how to get things done and my dad Stephen E Silver was an incredibly famous tax attorney representing companies such as U-Haul and Circle K.
In 2021, I embarked on tax liens an acted Pro Se representing my entities and myself in tax court. I learned the business and was able to grab up some land that is going to be part of the first phase of Silver Space Port (SSP). Come 2022, I accumulated over one thousand acres to use as my launch pad for future encounters into the stars. (SSP) is still new but we have a consultant Jim Kent, CEO of JKA Group with offices in Denver, Colorado, Ashland, Oregon and Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. Jim has been mentoring me throughout the process. His company is a social ecology corporation, so he has the knowledge in his late 80’s to know a thing or two. Jim has twenty plus employees and has done business with multiple federal agencies and private industries.
In unprecedented response, Silver was invited to the 2022 Tesla Share Holders Meeting in August 2022 and Silver met key players in the aerospace industry. The meeting was vetted so Silver may have been picked personally through CEO Elon Musk himself as Silver was hot on the radar for Silver Space Port. Silver met with a liaison of Arizona Senator Mark Kelly’s office in September of 2022 discussing the Silver Space Port. We also have had multiple conference calls with Arizona Congressman Gosars office. In our conference call with the FAA, Gosar was present listening in the conference call. In October of 2022, Silver traveled to Washington, DC to speak at a Space forum sponsored through UofA Law School. Silver spoke and ask questions to the many panel participants on multiple topics.
(SSP) is working with the Arizona State Land office on securing an easement across state land. The state has been very forthcoming and positive on the project and looks forward to (SSP) application submission.
Accordingly, SSP) has made enormous traction & strides and with our 430.00 Acre site in Northern Arizona, things are moving in the right direction. In July of 2024, we took on a real estate attorney who is negotiating our road easement to the site. He has been monumental in his negotiating skills. We are working tirelessly to secure the road in late 2025 and start obtaining permits early 2026 with initial groundbreaking late 2026.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
In a new venture, you get the naysayers that this Silver Space Port is a grand project cannot be done and is way over the founders head. Silver has ignored what everyone is saying and pushing forward toward our ribbon cutting event.
Money is needed to build such a project but Silver, along with Jim Kent has donated the time needed to get to the next step of securing our road, our funding and the erection of building ARIZONA’S FIRST SPACE PORT something that will change the landscape of Arizona forever.
We are still trying to obtain a website developer who can donate his or her time for future profits, but this is on the list that is least important, compared to everything else we have on the drawing board. Most trying time is dealing with a long-standing rancher which has become a huge obstacle but with our legal counsel onboard, I see an amiable ending to this long-drawn-out land dispute.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Silver Space Port?
My work has no end in sight, we will need to secure our road, next comes road construction followed through with State, Federal and County permits and licenses. Finally, construction of Silver Space Port, Arizona’s First Space Port. I do not quit; I have millions of dollars of my time into this project, and I will see it through to the end. It is my thoughts, that eventually the State of Arizona, along with the United States of America will see this project in Arizona a steppingstone for military and commercial launch operations. If things get rough and the push is extensive, I will have no alternative then to bring in politics. I am talking about President Donald Trump. I am 100% certain he will support this project and help to erase any negative criticism that may lie on its CEO Silver or others that are involved with the project.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
David J Silver biggest happiness in this entire process and the idea of forming a concept into reality. Ideas are in our head and with this idea of building a spaceport since I was 10 years old, I see it as a real goal that will happen.
I recall a dream that I launched a Wood Rocket outside my window where I was brought up in Paradise Valley, Arizona and this was my vision ever since. I used to build testor rockets and launch them, then run to find them with a parachute that was very thrilling for me as a kid. I enjoyed the hunt for my rocket once it launched and I saw the parachute. I had to run fast, or I would never see where it dropped. I built these model rockets from scratch. I love adventure and I hope to venture into the stars, taking off from Silver Space Port in a Rocket that I designed and built.
The World needs to understand it is a big place and with the solar systems so grand. Space never stops and neither shall the human race. I hope to motivate young people and anyone who dreams of space travel to come on this journey with me to the stars. Star Trek, Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica were my favorite shows growing up and this dream has kept me alive and still is in pursuit of my dreams at 57 years old.
