Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Fleming.

Hi Danielle, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers. 
My husband Josh and I had the opportunity buy the business a little over 3 years ago and has grown it and expanded in ways we could never imagine. Between the both of us, we had years of knowledge to bring to the table and we have had the support from our family and friends to make this a really successful business in Otero County and surrounding areas. 

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Smooth road? What’s that? Haha. It has definitely been harder than we ever imagined by leaps and bounds, but we continue to succeed every day and look to the future. It’s also been the most rewarding thing we have ever tackled, which is what pushes us every day. 

We have dealt with the stress of many many breakdowns that comes with heavy-duty trucks and the price tag that comes along with it. Covid has really impacted us and still does, which is something we still just take day by day. 

We struggle with balancing our personal life with 4 kids and running a successful business. We have learned you just have to roll with the punches and take one step at a time. It’s easy to get discouraged, but we focus on building a business our kids would be proud of. As a family we all work together and do what needs to be done and teach them everything we can along the way. 

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are a full-service septic business. We offer septic pumping, new installs, modifying an existing system, inspections when people buy/sell, grease trap pumping and dirt work. 

We have a great team that works with us that are very knowledgeable and have built a great relationship with our customers. 

We strive for the BEST customer service in Otero County which is what I feel sets us apart from others. If someone calls with questions and my team or I can’t answer, I can direct them to someone that can. 

A lot of people look at how young we are and don’t take us seriously, but we are in it for the long haul and have a lot of great knowledge and resources for the community. 

We are a small mom-and-pop shop, and everything we do or are a part of we use the best materials in the business and are proud of the quality of work we put down. 

How do you think about luck?
I really don’t like to think of good or bad luck because it can get you down pretty quick when you hit a lot of roadblocks. I really think it comes down to how hard you work and who you have in your corner rooting you on rain or shine. You just have to look at the bigger picture and push forward even when struggles come along and try to not let obstacles hold you back.
