Exploring Life & Business with Andrea Garcia of Andrea Garcia Realty with Keller Williams Realty Sonoran Living

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea Garcia

Hi Andrea , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Growing up in a single-mother household, my grandmother quickly became a second mom. Her influence, along with my mother’s, shaped my life in ways that still resonate deeply today. Being surrounded by strong, older adults fostered in me an unwavering love and respect for that community. My mother and grandmother have always been my foundation, my heart.

As a child, I watched my mom juggle multiple jobs, rising early and coming home late. I learned early on that life was about so much more than just work; it was about living fully and abundantly in every way. This realization sparked a deep desire in me to create a life where I could be my own boss— to build not only a career but a life that was meaningful. While I initially thought my path would lead to owning a dental practice, life, as it often does, had other plans. After staying home for seven years raising my three boys—a time I cherish beyond words—I decided dental school was no longer my passion. However, the fire to live abundantly and lead by example for my family never dimmed. I wanted to show my children what it truly means to embrace this beautiful life we are given.

My connection to the older adult population only grew stronger over the years, especially as I navigated the healthcare system for my grandmother, mother, and other beloved family members. With my legal background as a Bailiff and Personal Injury Paralegal, I was fortunate to find a new beginning at the Better Business Bureau, where I rediscovered myself and was offered a sales position. It was through this opportunity that I began working for a local home care company, developing care plans for clients. During this time, I realized the immense need for compassionate Realtors to help families as they face difficult decisions about rightsizing or downsizing for their loved ones. I also saw the unique need for support when families lose someone dear.

That realization led me to specialize in helping families through these delicate transitions. We dedicate ourselves to easing these life changes for older adults and their families. By offering a full concierge move plan, I guide families through every step—from determining whether a loved one can remain at home with assistance to exploring whether an assisted living community or group home might be a better fit.

My mission is to provide options, solutions, and resources that bring clarity and peace during what can be an overwhelming time. Often, these conversations begin months before a final decision is made. If you’ve noticed changes in your loved one’s health or activity, let’s talk. Together, we can plan for the future and ensure your family finds peace of mind long before a crisis arises.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
While I’m deeply passionate about what I do and could easily immerse myself in it around the clock, I realize it’s not the healthiest approach for me emotionally, spiritually, mentally, or physically. One of the biggest challenges for me has been the guilt I’ve felt as both a mom and a wife—especially in those first 2-3 years of building my business. Being away from home during that time was difficult, and balancing my professional and personal life has been an ongoing journey.

I firmly believe in making an impact while making a living, and I’m incredibly proud that we are living out our motto and passion every day. As a believer, I always say it’s not me—it’s Him working through me. I see myself as a vessel, helping families during critical times of need. We are dedicated to easing the challenges of life transitions for older adults and their families by offering a comprehensive concierge move plan.

My role is to guide families through every step of the process—from evaluating if a loved one can remain at home with assistance, to exploring the possibilities of an assisted living community or group home. We discuss all options, including the financial aspects of staying at home, home ownership, reverse mortgage opportunities, and necessary modifications to keep them safe. If staying at home isn’t viable, we provide a network of trusted resources such as placement agents, estate sale companies, contractors for home repairs, and more.

In addition to serving families directly, a significant part of our work is partnering with Probate, Estate, and Elder Law Attorneys, Fiduciaries (both private and public), Corporate Trustees, and Financial Planners. Our mission is to allow these professionals to focus on their expertise while we handle the rest, caring for their clients as if they were our own family.

My ultimate goal is to offer options, solutions, and resources that bring clarity and peace during what can often be a stressful and overwhelming time. These important conversations often begin months before any final decisions are made, ensuring that we are fully prepared for whatever lies ahead.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
They say the harder you work, the luckier you become, and I firmly believe that luck is also a matter of mindset. What you think, speak, and send out into the universe has the power to manifest. That’s why it’s so important to start each day by checking your thoughts—ensuring you’re intentionally creating and designing the life you want. Luck isn’t just random; it’s also being one decision away from transforming the course of your life. So, decide, think, and work wisely.
