Exploring Life & Business with Alexis Bailey of Unique’s Cleaning Services

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexis Bailey.

Hi Alexis, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
First, let me start off by saying starting a business was terrifying. Not only was it terrifying, but I started my business in 2020 in the middle of a worldwide pandemic. So, my thought process was definitely all over the place. I had this idea about starting my own cleaning services and immediately I took action.

When I say “I took action,” I got up and went to the store and purchased cleaning products that were inexpensive. Down the line, I was able to purchase cleaning products in bulky items. I like to think I am a Super Woman because I’m a full-time transfer student at Grand Canyon University as of 2021, I work a corporate job and I provide services to those who need a little sparkle in their homes, offices, and businesses.

I am originally from Watts, CA, and growing up, I always knew I would become an entrepreneur because I wanted to apply my skills elsewhere and provide my future kid/kids an opportunity to not work for someone else. I want to continue to build wealth with the cleaning services I created.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Having my own cleaning services definitely has not been smooth.

Graduating in the year 2021 and moving to Phoenix, AZ to continue my education was a huge transition for me. Therefore, I had to completely start all over and gain the trust of potential clients.

As you know, we’re big fans of Unique’s Cleaning Services LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Unique’s Cleaning Service is a small affordable cleaning and organizing company, which strives for the satisfaction of customers. I specialize in detailed cleaning and I’m known for going over and beyond for my clients.

What sets me apart from others is I’m very professional, the client always comes first; I offer a deluxe version of my services which provides steaming floors, carpet cleaning, organizing, and laundry services if needed. The proudest moments for my company are looking at the reviews after completing jobs. I figured every single person needs their house cleaned or organized.

One day I went on Facebook and asked for small donations to purchase cleaning supplies and provide a quality service. By being independent and having self-motivation, I was able to build enough confidence in myself to go into people’s homes.

I thrive off of real satisfaction for the fact I’m able to help people relieve stress by making their homes and lives better in a very concrete way. I service all the surrounding areas Phoenix, Scottsdale, Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, Glendale, and anywhere else within a reasonable radius.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
My mother Michelle Beltran. When I was a child, I saw my mother literally clean every day, she couldn’t even sit down and watch a movie because she would be cleaning so much.

I followed my mother’s footsteps by cleaning nonstop even when things were already clean, I would then go to other people’s houses rather it was just a family function or a random visit, and would be secretly cleaned up. Being five out of seven my mom calls me her “butterfly” and she always told me to fly. Her definition of a butterfly is not only beautiful but also has this mysterious outlook on life.

One who makes mindful of your personal growth and progress in life. Now that I’m older I understand why she raised me the way I am now and was that pushy mother. With her encouragement, I was able to be the first college graduate in the family.

Thank you, mom and dad, for being simply amazing and raising me to become a phenomenal woman.
