Exploring Life & Business with Kristen Pope of Perfect Dose

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristen Pope.

Hi Kristen, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hi! I’m Kristen, nurse injector, female entrepreneur, and founder of The Perfect Dose in Scottsdale, Arizona. Working in the aesthetics industry wasn’t something I always knew I wanted to do. I actually started out as an emergency room nurse in 2015. I worked there for a few years before I decided that I wanted to dip my toes in cosmetic injectables. I have been passionate about skincare and beauty for as long as I can remember, but I never knew how I could make a career out of it. If you would have told me back then that I would have my own business with several employees just a few years later, I would have thought you were crazy. But here we are! Four years later and I am a national trainer for Galderma Aesthetics, business owner, and master injector.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Starting my own business has not come without struggles, but it has been so worth it. I had no experience with running a business so learning how to market myself and create a platform for people to see my work was hard. I also went through a lot of training to perfect my skills and deliver the absolute best results. The most important thing I learned is that it takes patience and time to become great at something and build a business at the same time. My advice to anyone out there wanting to inject or start their own business would be to never give up and believe in yourself.

Perfect Dose is a medspa in Scottsdale, Arizona. I am the owner and lead injection specialist at Perfect Dose. I will be finished with my Doctoral Nursing Program at ASU this May so I am a soon-to-be Board Certified Family Nurse practitioner. I am hoping to expand and grow Perfect Dose utilizing my DNP skills.
