Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffanie Aguirre

Hi Tiffanie, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m Tiffanie the owner of Buhlolo Pops & Treats. Buhlolo (pronounced Bah-LOH-loh) is inspired by the love my son Gabryan brought into our lives. Named after his mispronunciation of “vanilla,” it represents a choice not to allow grief to conquer over joy. We honor his memory by creating delicious desserts that bring families together, sharing happiness, and celebrating love through each and every smile.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I have been fortunate to have amazing support from the community from day one. They have rallied around us and supported our vision to honor my son with this business. The struggles along the way have been emotional and having to do with navigating grief while not letting it overcome the happiness that this business brings. Because of the strong conviction to share my sons story, we hit the ground running since August 2024 and have fortunately been able to overcome any hurdle that has come our way.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We specialize in traditional Mexican popsicles called paletas. We serve the loaded popsicle with a variety of toppings and make it completely customizable. Our paletas are served out of an old-fashioned non-motorized popsicle cart that is usually the star of the show. People love its nostalgic, look and classic white fringed umbrella. What we are most proud of is creating memories for our guests. After experiencing tremendous loss, we realized that every moment can be a lasting memory. We specialize in creating special moments with family and friends. It is extremely important for us not to miss an opportunity to create lasting memories. We also believe that there is no need to wait for a special event or occasion and that memories can be created anytime. Our most popular dessert treat is a mango flavored popsicle loaded with chamoy and spicy candy. Another favorite is our Acai sorbet topped with fresh fruit, coconut, and honey.

What matters most to you?
I enjoy speaking about my son and keeping his memory alive. Every time I share with someone what Buhlolo means, my heart fills up with joy. We believe that it helps us create lasting memories with our guests and make them feel a part of something greater by supporting our business.
