Daily Inspiration: Meet Tariq Polley

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tariq Polley. 

Hi Tariq, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
It all started when my mom passed away from cancer. I wanted to do something that would impact a lot of people in a positive way. It all came to me Sneaker Tongue a clothing line for the sneakerheads and sneaker lovers. It’s something to call our own. I have an online shop as well I’m in the mall here in the town of Boise Id. Sneaker Tongue has also vendor at Sneaker Con twice. I got to where I’m at today by hard work and determination. My perseverance is untouched and unmatched I do what I love and I feel I’m good at it. 

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It has its ups and downs for sure, from making mistakes which can lead to money loss. One Time I bought from this huge manufacture which ended up going bankrupt and I loss over 400 dollars and at that time my company was still brand new. 

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m most proud that I have accomplished a lot for myself which in the little time that the company has been around. What sets sneaker tongue apart from other brands is that we are different because I come from a different perspective. I don’t follow trends I pull from what inspired me throughout the journey in my life ya know. With that being said you never know what you’re gonna get but you know that you’re gonna get some heat. 

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Double P! Perseverance and Patience is key for me and I’m not much of a patient guy lol
