Daily Inspiration: Meet Stephanie (“Stevie”) Ringleb

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie (“Stevie”) Ringleb.

Hi Stephanie (“Stevie”), so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve been doing photography for as long as I can remember, even as a kid, I was always documenting things, chasing light, and noticing the little in-between moments. But for a while, I did the “responsible” thing. I worked a corporate job that looked good on paper but felt completely wrong. One day, I hit a breaking point, quit my job, bought a camera, and decided to bet on myself. I haven’t looked back since.

That was ten years ago. Since then, I’ve worked all over the U.S. and the world. What started as a leap of faith turned into a full-time career rooted in connection, storytelling, and seeing people deeply. It’s been wild, humbling, and exactly where I’m meant to be.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I’ve faced burnout, the loss of two people I loved deeply, and the end of a long-term relationship…all while trying to show up creatively and keep a business going. The hardest moment was the passing of my boyfriend. For a long time, it felt impossible to return to the wedding world, to witness love and celebration while I was grieving so much.

But with time, that grief shifted into something deeper. I now see the importance of what I do in an entirely new light. I truly understand how sacred it is to have photos of the people we love once they’re gone. That perspective has shaped everything about how I shoot and how I connect with my clients. I want to preserve moments that will matter forever.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a photographer specializing in weddings, branding, events, and retreats — really, anything that centers around people and their stories. What I love most about my work is the human connection. I have a natural ability to make people feel comfortable, seen, and celebrated, which brings out their fun, authentic side in front of the camera. I’m known for my personality, my positive energy, and how much fun people have when we shoot together.

Creativity and intention are at the heart of everything I do. I care deeply about the experience as much as the final images. I’m most proud of the connections I’ve built all over the world and the trust people place in me to document the moments that matter most. The joy of documenting someone’s memories, giving them something they can hold onto forever, is what keeps me inspired every single day.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
Do things scared.

That’s honestly been the theme of my journey — leaving a safe job, starting a business, traveling the world, choosing to keep going after loss. Nothing ever felt perfectly timed or totally comfortable, but growth lives on the other side of fear. If something is pulling at you, even if it scares you… that might be exactly where you’re meant to go.
