Today we’d like to introduce you to Scaredycast.
Hello Scaredycast; please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
We’ve always been interested in the strange and the unknown. We would have long conversations where we would laugh at all the weird news and text back and forth about spooky stuff making the news. Until one day, we got in a kitchen, gathered around one mic, and launched the podcast to see if others would be interested in hearing us ramble about spooky business.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
There’s been a lot of struggles, and I am still struggling. It doesn’t pay the bills, so finding the time between work has always been a struggle, then finding locations to record sometimes the usual podcast road bumps.
Thanks for sharing that. So, you could tell us a bit more about your work.
We’ve always been a creative bunch. Whether on camera or behind the scenes. What sets us apart is that we try to make the podcast feel like you’re not just listening to a podcast, but you’re there with some friends talking about some weird stuff on a weekend night. The only planning that goes into our show is the topics at hand; nothing is ever scripted, no jokes planned; we improv it all every night, which makes it feel more like a real conversation.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
The downtown area has grown over the years to be more artist-friendly, which we love. And what we like least, of course, is the heat.
