Daily Inspiration: Meet Nora Ambrozewicz

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nora Ambrozewicz

Hi Nora, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Originally I’m from New Jersey and all my family is from New York and food has always been a very important thing to me and the people around me. I love to cook and I’m very judgmental about restaurants being good, I guess as a home cook who makes delicious food, I have a high standard.

My husband, Michael, and I met 2.5 years ago in San Diego, I did not realize at the time that he was extremely successful, but I found myself in a position where I did not need a typical job. We fell in love very fast, but it has been the most incredible experience of my life. He allows me to really enjoy my life freely, something I wasn’t able to do before as I was living paycheck to paycheck.

My mom, although she loves Michael and his ability to support me, really wanted me to have something that was mine, which I understand. You need your own stuff even if you’re a stay at home wife, girlfriend or mom. And I decided I would start sharing my experiences at local restaurants. I would always see many posts about restaurants and send them to friends on Instagram and I just one day decided “I can do that” and thus my journey started. The first 6 months I struggled to be consistent, but I really decided to dedicate the beginning of 2024 to growing my account. After getting married we decided to move to Mesa and we are looking to make a home somewhere in the East Valley. We want to purchase a house in the next 6-8 months.

It was a struggle at first to get my feet on the ground in a new city – I had a lot of San Diego content before we moved. But I’ve been taking the necessary steps and meeting some great people who have welcomed me into the foodie community here. I feel so blessed as I’ve grown into this little micro-influencer now. I have just over 5,000 followers which was always a goal I was striving to reach. I am also starting to transition into some lifestyle content as well and I’m very excited for what the future holds!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Personally I’ve gone through a lot, but any of those struggles have sort of taught me to just be kind to myself. I also consider myself extremely blessed as I have chosen the people around me very carefully. Being a creator on instagram there are always struggles. Whether you’re dealing with technical issues in the app, trolls on the internet or struggling with being consistent- it sort of seems like there is always something. Burn out is also real. When you’re constantly posting and being consistent and online, there comes a time where you just feel overwhelmed, comparative and you get discouraged. I think it’s important to just prioritize yourself and realize at the end of the day, you’re more important than posting on social media. It’s okay to take breaks and take steps back – as long as you feel good, your content will reflect that.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Well as I’ve mentioned previously, I am a food influencer and I am beginning to dabble in lifestyle content as well.

I specialize in featuring restaurants and I would love to get more into sharing my cooking as well. I dabble in travel content too and I am going to do a skincare and a cosmetic procedure collaboration soon! And Michael and I really want to start a family sooner than later, so my content will shift again when that occurs.

I’m honestly just super proud of myself for having a following, even though it’s not huge, putting myself out there and making friends in this community. It’s hard to make friends in adulthood, especially as you find a long term home and get settled.

I think standing out in this space is not super easy to do and I do believe there is enough room for everyone. I think featuring my face and doing voiceovers helps set me apart – but also I am still figuring out how to stand out amongst my peers. Understanding that you are always learning and evolving plays a big part in being successful. You don’t want to become stagnant.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
My husband. This is such an easy answer. From the day we met, he has made me feel safe, loved and listened to. I have never experienced such an unconditional love and I am forever grateful for everything about our relationship. He makes everything possible for me in this life. From the day we met, my life really began. It might be cliche, but our love story is one of those good ones!!

He gives me support and space to be the best version of myself. He always comes with me to collaborations and is learning how to be behind the camera to take content of me! It’s because of him that I feel motivated to take content. I want to be the best at what I do because he is the best at what he does. (His career is another topic. LOL)
