Today we’d like to introduce you to Nino Bundles
Hi Nino, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I am PAPI CHEETO! People know me as ‘ Nino Bundles, PAPI, Nino, Nico Shady, RAPA, ‘. I’m a rapper from The Bronx, New York living in Scottsdale now. Here’s my story on how I came to become a rapper and interesting and cool things about me. I’m 28 years old and bounced around different areas of New York from The Bronx to more upstate New York and eventually made my way down to Arizona. The Bronx was interesting and I enjoyed my time living there because I’m a 90s guy and my fashion style is too. The Bronx is known as a violent city but it has a big community presence, and nothing is political there. Anyways, enough about the Bronx. You would think I was in the 90s if you saw me at a bar. I have that kind of presence in the world or as certain people say:society. I moved to Arizona when I was 21. I’ve lived in Scottsdale since and I’ve enjoyed Scottsdale and the Phoenix area. In my free time in Arizona, if I’m not in the studio rapping, I go to Fox Cigar Bar in Old Town, south Scottsdale or one of the hookah lounges in Old Town, south Scottsdale.
I always loved rap and rap images still surface in my head like 2Pac and there are certain rap lifestyles that my head gets photos of in my head sometimes and (these 2 things brought my glow in rap) some of these rappers are Da Baby, Lil Baby, 42 Dugg, 50 Cent Moneybagg Yo and Drake. People in The Bronx were calling me Big Dog before Big Dog became popular slang for what we used to say in The Bronx like “homie”. Rap images and rap lifestyle images have always been entering and invading my head even walking around distracting women all around and it’s only helped me grow as a rapper and as a unique and captivating member of society. I never idolized any rappers but “THE RAPPER” because thats what I imagine the good life as and I capitalized “THE RAPPER” because you have to be a hardcore rapper in my eyes. That’s what they don’t teach you in the rap movies but what I understand through life experience and having a Bronx or Harlem attitude.
I wear fitted hats, still wear Jordans even though they’re getting too mainstream with how many different colorways they are releasing (not that they weren’t mainstream, just for my liking) and I only wear retro Jordans. I don’t do other Jordans. If its not Jordans, I have a pair of Christian Louboutin’s that are really exciting. I take it easy on my spending until I reach the big picture, the pictures I saw in my head walking New York neighborhoods, Los Angeles areas, Arizona sidewalks. I don’t own a pair of Louis Vuitton boots which is the first thing I’m going to buy once I get a rap deal. I don’t own Gucci suits. I let that come once I make it to the land which I’ve been putting myself to lead myself to and I have finally recently started uploading some music on Soundcloud and made a rap video as well. The music on Soundcloud are all freestyles and the rap video gives off Jamaican Rap vibes like if Bob Marley was as explicit as Lil Jon. It gives off reggaeton and reggae rap, not quite the rap you hear in popular rap culture. My music on Soundcloud is hardcore and ghetto and music meant for the ladies to see my ‘gangsta’, my appeal, and one of them is a hardcore story song called JUlIE. It’s about this girl and my relationship with her, and her name is Julie, my ex. I can’t tell you that much about that song or the girl other than it might gives your heart feelings, especially when you hear about it that it was a freestyle that I didn’t even hear the beat of before it was put on. But it definitely gives off wild vibes and I was definitely taken when I was freestyling that and I didn’t hear the beat before I started rapping and didn’t even know what I was going to rap about until a little bit after the beat started. This is my biggest song on Soundcloud, not the most listened to but the one that makes you want to fall in love with my style in my opinion (and in my telling you of me in this story) I’m being objective. If you want to blast one in your car, blast THUG MAN.
My rap songs are ghetto hip hop freestyles. None of them have had any word edits or polishings. They are all from the top of my head. A lot of them are too explicit for most audiences, but it doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy making them. And when you love music (and especially raps) you make in my opinion, your head feels bigger and a feeling of big that can’t stop you from getting bigger. It took me a while to record music because I was too busy smoking weed as a younging and until recently to record my raps and I never write lyrics so I didn’t know how that would go. I’ve been sober for just over 2 years. But whenever I told people I rapped and they asked me to rap for them, I would. A lot of times that would help me realize how great of a rapper I am. I’m a sly guy. I have sly fashion so if you ask me to freestyle for you, I just will. I’m a rapper in the Phoenix, Arizona area and Scottsdale specifically and this is my story of my rapper personality and if you want to hear my rapper songs, they are on Soundcloud. Just search PAPI CHEETO. If you want to watch my reggaeton-reggae rap video of THUG MAN, its on www.youtube.com. Just search PAPI CHEETO. I’m glad I got to share about me some and if I have a message for you, it would be, if you think something, be a beast with your thoughts about the thing your mind is on!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s been a smooth road. Not perfectly smooth, but my fashion sense made it seem smooth. I’ve really just been enjoying life.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a rapper. I specialize in freestyling and having a rap sound that no-one can copy.
