Daily Inspiration: Meet Nichole Drzewiecki

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nichole Drzewiecki.

Nichole Drzewiecki

Hi Nichole, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Growing up, I have always loved dogs and wanted to do something in the dog industry. In 2011 I graduated from Triple Crown Dog Academy, now known as Starmark Academy for dog trainers in Texas. I went through a 3-month program learning everything about dogs, from basic obedience to behavior modification to scent detection. I was hired on after that to teach people to become dog trainers worldwide. Teaching people to become trainers was amazing, but I missed training dogs, so after 4-5 years working there, I decided to start training dogs and their owners. I worked for a few different trainers, all well-known in the dog sporting world, but after meeting my husband, a dog trainer, we decided to open our own business finally. We have been open for over 3 years, and I love what I do!

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Initially, it was a little rough opening months before the pandemic, and moving here from Texas with my husband. I didn’t get clients right away. It takes time, but I worked with a few rescue groups to help get their dogs available for adoption. Once we started posting and getting our name out to friends and family, we started getting more clients.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might need to become more familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
We are a dog training company that strives to strengthen your relationship with your dog to make them the loyal companion you have always wanted them to be. We train any dog, no matter the breed or age. We specialize in obedience, dog reactivity towards other dogs, home manners, and public training. I love hearing owners see the progress going in the right direction with their dogs. I love seeing changes in dogs’ behavior from being fearful in the past to being confident dogs and trusting their owners. What sets us apart from other trainers is we have the dogs be in a home setting, learning how to behave in different situations from being in the home or out at a restaurant.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs, or other resources you think our readers should check?
I listen to the No Bad Dogs Podcast, which has many different situations with dogs and their owners. Other podcasts I listen to are anything that is crime or dog related.
