Daily Inspiration: Meet Niamh Davis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Niamh Davis.

Hi Niamh, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, you could tell our readers some of your backstory.
Although born in 2020, Empowered Ink took years of life experiences and various other skill sets to launch. I had previously assisted other companies in launching and growing their businesses, but I needed to live in my purpose and passion. I was burnt out. I wanted to find my place, purpose, and passion and combine all my skill sets. I asked the universe for guidance, leading me to Permanent makeup and paramedical tattooing. Tattooing has allowed me to create my own space in the world where I utilize a variety of the skills I have picked up over the years while also allowing me to express my artistic ability, work with my hands and impact my clients positively.

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Nothing worthwhile ever happens quickly and easily; empowered Ink has been a labor of love; with any new company, there are trials, tribulations, and obstacles to overcome. During the early days, I had my booking site set to accept appointments (no other requirements to schedule); due to this, I had a decent amount of people scheduling and no showing for their appointment. I was able to fine-tune my booking options to avoid such activity. I have looked at every obstacle with the mindset to overcome, resolve and improve. There have been learning curves, as with everything; however, it has genuinely molded me into a better entrepreneur.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in Camouflage Tattoos, primarily working on scar camouflage, stretch mark camouflage, and areola tattoos. Scar camouflage is what people are starting to know me for. I am most proud of the variety of camouflage tattoos I have done. Freckled clients are my favorite as I play more with pigment selection and adding details. I stand out from other artists, offering both PMU (Permanent Makeup) and Paramedical Tattooing.

What are your plans for the future?
