Daily Inspiration: Meet Mollie Leone

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mollie Leone.

Mollie, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I grew up always helping my dad with projects around the house. Put a bathroom in, painted the interior, and did all sorts of weekend projects.

My young adult life was spent in retail management. The shopping mall was my second home! Resets, wall displays, and new store openings were my most favored jobs. Along the way, I married my best match, Nick, and we have had a love of entrepreneurship for the last 20 years. Fast forward to now having teenagers of our own. We always wanted to teach our children about business and the benefits of owning.

The hobby of furniture flipping and the love of clothing and all things fashion joined together to create Momos. We have Momo’s Boutique online – @momoscreationsaz, and also Momo’s Furnishings online – @momos_furnishings.

The Boutique features affordable fashion for the woman or mom on the go! We want to make fashion fast and easy!

Our furniture is affordable and looks like high-end furniture for a fraction of the price, being repurposed and created in our own garage!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being a business owner is not for the faint of heart! We are online but also wanted to get out a name with in-person shopping as well.

Recently we were doing a pop-up shop at a car show. We wanted to let all the females shop while their men drooled over cars! Unfortunately, only 3 cars showed up and the show was a total flop!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Because we are independent of any large corporation, we are able to choose our own looks and styles.

Whether it’s fashion from the boutique or furniture, you will have one-of-a-kind items that won’t be found in big box stores. For our fashions, we only purchase 2 of each size. So you won’t run into others with the same look as you.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
So much shopping is done online now. Creating an online presence is a necessity. When it comes to fashion, I love that the shift of each person choosing their own fashion story is so fun.

There will always be the “in” things to wear, but so much is now a personal choice. People are free to express themselves and fashion is a fantastic way to do that!
