Daily Inspiration: Meet Maggie Jane

Today we’d like to introduce you to Maggie Jane.

Hi Maggie, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
My journey in the creative world started when I moved from Illinois to Arizona in November 2021. My mom and I decided to pack up our car with whatever we could fit and journey across the country. Within two weeks of moving, I came across an audition for modeling and acting. I had zero experience but a huge desire to explore the industry, so I went for the casting! Within a few days, I was back at the same place doing rehearsals for the showcase they were hosting to meet with agents! I did not receive a callback from the first show, but I got invited to their National Showcase in Vegas! That was in August 2022. At that showcase, I received 8 callbacks and won top model for my age group and first runner-up for acting. My desire was gaining momentum, and I used that to find local gigs because most agents told me to get some experience first, so I did! One year later, I have been published in over 10 local and international magazines and walked in over 12 runway shows, including Arizona Fashion Week, for my first-ever show! I will be walking in again this year; make sure to get your show tickets in November! I have a discount for you 🙂 I have also gained an interest in creative directing. This year, I have directed two fashion shows, hosted a creative elevation photo shoot, and am currently working with designer Dreams of Sueño for her video campaign! It has been such an incredible and inspiring journey so far. I’ve met the most amazing people. I can’t wait to see where my path leads me.

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Regarding my creative journey, it has been a pretty smooth road! Ever since I started, it has been nonstop work! Which I am incredibly grateful for! I have learned so much and met many amazingly talented creatives. This industry is very competitive, but I always show up confidently and positively, aligning me with the right jobs. The hardest battles I’ve overcome are self-judgment and dimming myself around other people. Growing up, that’s what I always did. I never really felt like I had my space to shine. But I realized if you want to succeed in this industry, you have to create your own space to shine and never let anyone get in your way or try to hold you back. Learning how to create freely and without judgment is the hardest battle, in my opinion. But it is worth every bit of the struggle. Every person is creative, and there is plenty of room for us to shine! For anyone trying to make their way in the creative industry, remember that you were born to create and need to stay connected to yourself and your passion. Everything else will fall into place!

I appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a full-time model, creative director, and actress! My work for modeling consists of brand campaign photoshoots, runway shows, and exploring my creations! I am still exploring what that means to me for creative directing. Still, so far, I have directed two fashion shows, hosted a Creative Elevation photoshoot to connect models and designers, and will be hosting my Creative Elevation: posing and embodying confidence class this week! This class will consist of breathwork, mindset, and posing! The purpose is to show creatives how to connect to their inner being and calm their nerves on set! I love what I do each day, and I know I will always continue to explore and go out of my comfort zone! That is a major factor that sets me apart from everyone else. I am always willing to go out of my comfort zone to explore my capabilities! I am passionate about creating and don’t let anything get in the way!

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you.
I don’t believe in luck. I believe every human receives results that are vibrationally aligned with them! If you want positive and successful results, you must align your energy with that feeling. What does it feel like to have successful and positive results? Aligning yourself with that feeling will naturally align it to your life. But say you want positive and successful results, but you are fueling that with doubt and fear because you don’t believe you are worthy, then you will attract results that align with those feelings. You will not receive the desired results until you truly feel you deserve them. You have to fully believe that you are worthy and capable of receiving successful results for whatever you do. I have always believed in myself and have always known that I will have a very successful and inspiring career, so that is the result that has come to my life. I will continue to go to my life because I will always believe I deserve the best!
