Daily Inspiration: Meet Kimberly Chiappetti

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimberly Chiappetti.

Hi Kimberly, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am a Scottsdale Native, born here and never left! I am a Full-time Real Estate Agent and a Part-time ceramic artist. I love Dogs, Mexican Food, Camping and going to the Beach. I enjoy doing  community service as much as  I can and one of my biggest passions is volunteering with the Scottsdale Parada del Sol Parade & Trails Festival group. As a kid I used to march in the parade as a girl scout and then became involved about 15 years ago.  When time permits I get to “play with clay”. I primarily hand build functional ware but occasionally throw on the wheel I have a home studio and also attend a class that Scottsdale offers. I get to exhibit my work at  a couple of Art shows during the year and have had the opportunity to do some commissioned pieces as well.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Great question! Is it ever a smooth road? HA! In 2001 I made a huge decision to change my life completely. Within that change came a huge leap out of an industry I knew and was very good at into a brand new career that dealt with other people’s financial decisions and the emotional aspects this entailed.  I worked nights at a restaurant for a year while I went to the Lending office during the day to train for my new career. After a couple of very good years, the big housing bubble was starting to ramp up, and then the crash, so I had to pivot in what I specialized in and did well while riding out the crash. So yes, a lot of challenges, but I feel so much gratitude that I came out on the other side ok when some folks didn’t fair so well.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I became a Loan Officer in 2002 and then made the transition over to Real Estate In 2013.  Becoming a Realtor was a natural transition for me as I have never met a stranger. Being a local, loving and being involved in my community gives me somewhat of an advantage. My service areas are Valley-wide.  I specialize in working with both buyers and sellers. One of the most rewarding gifts in my work is when I  get the opportunity to see someone’s dream become a reality. Being involved and assisting in that reality is pretty cool!  I like to make sure my clients feel heard and help them through the process without feeling pressured to buy or sell if it’s not the right time for them.  While providing a professional service, I enjoy getting to know the people I work with and, in most cases, keep in touch throughout the years and watch their families grow. I truly love what I do for a living. I don’t know if that sets me apart from others, as I know many extraordinary Realtors who share the same philosophy. I have been very blessed with the amazing clients I have worked with over the years and love keeping the relationship long after the transaction is over.

How do you define success?
For me, I believe Ultimate success is liking/loving what you do for a living. I am lucky to be able to be successful in that way.
