Daily Inspiration: Meet Kamil Lashae

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kamil Lashae.

Hi Kamil, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started out as a young entrepreneur living in Chicago. That’s my hometown & for so long that’s what I was used to.
After graduating high school & dropping out of my first year of college.

I went to a trade school for clinical massage therapy. Soon after I graduated, I realized it wasn’t for me. Nothing was for me honestly but working myself. I became an entrepreneur at 22 and started out selling lipglosses.

Since then, it’s been ups & downs, trial & error but most importantly it’s been a full-blown experience. Now, I’m the best-selling author, beauty enhancer, etc.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Entrepreneurship? A smooth road? Lol! Never! It’s so many things no one tells you about entrepreneurship. The first lesson I learned was.

It takes money to make money. A LOT OF IT. The second lesson which I feel should’ve been the first lesson I learned was, to make sure to have a business plan of what you want to sell, who you want to market to, & why. Research, research, research is key. From looking into resources, products, & plans, to even making a website & which source is more cost-efficient with more tools.

Everything requires research. Another HARD lesson I learned right from the jump is, that strangers will support you before your family will. Family & friends won’t support & that’s okay. Target your audience, write your goals & steps you want & need to take to complete those goals, & more importantly.

Have tunnel vision. Or else you will get distracted by the discouragement you feel sometimes.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Apart from me being a writer, I am what I call myself a “beauty enhancer” or “confidence booster” I specialize in helping women feel good about themselves & pushing them to see their beauty the way I see it.

What am I known for is aspiring to inspire? I love to motivate, uplift, & support people no matter who they are. Why? Because life is already hard enough & I wasn’t raised to hate or be jealous or envious. I’m either inspired by people, motivated, or influenced. We don’t hate over here.

That’s what I specialize in. I specialize in showing people how to treat people. I do unto others as I want to be done to myself. So I speak highly of people, I motivate people & I make people feel good about themselves. Whether it’s with my words or my creativity & art of makeup

Any big plans?
My plans for the future are to host a few events for my business Pretty Girl Nation Ko. As well as going on a book tour & speaking on panels with other women who’s influenced me along the way. I have also teamed up with Team Weight No More! They’re an amazing support system that pushes me to stay fit & active! What a coincidence that It relates to my business Pretty Girl Nation Ko! Where it’s not a brand but it’s a lifestyle! Becoming fit & working on your physical health is ALSO apart of healing! I really love & appreciate my fit family!
