Today we’d like to introduce you to Jocelyn Garcia
Hi Jocelyn, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
As a kid, I was so lucky to have a family that loved going on adventures every weekend. Our Sundays were all about potluck fun, games, and making memories that I still smile about today! From camping trips to beach days, and from road trips to family reunions, I was always the one capturing every moment on camera. Now, I’m excited to share my passion for adventure and video editing with you all, and turn this page into a go-to destination for family-friendly fun! My goal is to bring you the best tips and tricks for exploring new places with your loved ones, just like @Kidizona and @ArizonaMommies.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My life took a drastic turn after a miscarriage in 2018, but I refused to give up. We took a leap of faith and moved to Las Vegas just as COVID-19 was hitting. And then again to Arizona in 2021, while I was pregnant and dealing with a high-risk pregnancy. It wasn’t easy, but with my parents’ help, we navigated the challenges and were finally rewarded with the arrival of our baby boy. And later, our baby girl in 2023, after another loss in 2022. Now we’re living life on our own terms, one new destination at a time.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I hung up my business hat to focus on my true passion – being a mom! It’s not always easy, but it’s worth it. I’m proud to say I’ve overcome challenges and am living my dream. As a stay-at-home mom of a 3-year-old boy and 1-year-old girl, my days are filled with adventure – from playgrounds to grocery stores! What makes me unique? My ability to roll with the punches and adapt to new situations. Living in a new state without family nearby can be tough, but I’m making it work and loving every minute of it, discovering Arizona one gem at a time.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
What I like the most is the kind people! I guess you could say I love how (almost) everyone is kind. The very first thing I noticed. The politeness and patience some people have here compared to other places I’ve lived, hands down, the best!
What I least like about the city? Hmm, I had to head scratch for that one. I think what I like least are the roundabouts. If your not usto these, it can throw you off your driving game. (Little side giggle)
