Daily Inspiration: Meet Jarrod Martinez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jarrod Martinez.

Hi Jarrod, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
Originally opened in 2012 as a jewelry shop and art gallery for local artists. In 2015 we added the coffee bar and remodeled it. We host open mics, live music, art shows, etc. & so much more.

We are a hub for locals and out-of-town folks to experience something unique and interesting while supporting local artists of all forms. Jarrodscoffeeteaandgallery.com Instagram and Facebook as well.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Although there have been some ups and downs and Covid slowed us down we are thankfully still here and busier than ever. Also, an increase in rent has really hurt, but we are thankful for our loyal customers and everyone’s support to keep us going.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Born and raised in Albuquerque, came to Az in 04. My brother and I had a jewelry business and wholesaled to stores all over the country. Traveling coast to coast for half my life.

I decided to open a jewelry art store and eventually became a coffee shop owner. It’s been a journey but I love everything I’ve done. I also was a massage therapist for several years in between traveling. Thank you.

What makes you happy?
Just being around people and creating a positive place a vibe & energy that welcomes everyone no matter who you are.
