Eilianna Quintero

Hi Eilianna; so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, how can you bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
When I was 16 years old, I moved to America for a better life; I escaped from South America with big dreams and hopes for a bright future! I was taken to South America as a child from the United States; when I was 16, I escaped South America. I could stay in the United States with the help of the legal system. I had many bills to pay, and I was responsible for taking care of myself at a young age; working a regular 9-5 just wasn’t enough, and I was determined, no matter what, to take care of myself. I tried many small businesses, including house-cleaning, yard work, and house-sitting, but nothing worked out. Art has always been an integral part of my soul; one day, I went to a local farmers market and saw a face painter and balloon artist working there, and I realized the potential in the entertainment industry. This was the perfect fit; it filled my artistic desires while being a sustainable growing industry.

I have always been an artist. From my earliest memories, art was always something I was very drawn to and passionate about. I ordered some face paints and balloons and began practicing by myself. Within a week, I had booked a farmers market and started working that Saturday. Body painting came naturally, and I discovered I was good at it. I had a more challenging time with Balloons, but I practiced relentlessly late into the night, and it paid off in the end; practice truly does make perfect. I am now 19 years old with a successful, growing business. My goal is to spread art and love throughout the community. I now have other women working for me that I have trained, and we are expanding throughout the community. I want to support all the women working for me in their artistic endeavors and one day share my story and help other young women realize their potential. No matter your past, you determine your future.

Let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
Last year I was in a terrible car accident that all most claimed my life; witnesses told me my car rolled over about 12 times. I was hit while driving through a green Light, resulting in me having to go to physical therapy for a prolonged period; the effects on my business were detrimental as I could not work for many months. Fortunately, with my family and friends’ support, I recovered from the accident and successfully reopened my business.

Let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
At Braveheart Entertainment AZ, We specialize in Public Arts, Such as Face and body painting, balloon twisting, temporary tattoos, and private at-home paint and sip parties. We are known for having cross-trained artists that can provide multiple services, saving the hassle of hiring multiple artists. We are also known for our quality of service and products. It is tough to find professionally trained artists who can face paint and balloon twists because more people need to teach others how to do it professionally. I am very proud of my artist and how far my business has come over the past two years. What sets us apart from others is our training; practice makes perfect. I have invested in professional training to perfect my skills to teach all of my artists how to produce professional work that looks fantastic and leaves every customer happy.

What were you like growing up?
I was always an artistic child; unfortunately, I lived in a very dark and dangerous environment, so I had no access to art supplies or resources growing up. As a child, I spent most of my time burdened by duties and responsibilities that no child should ever be burdened with.
