Daily Inspiration: Meet Dominick Montano

Hi Dominick, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I am a 21 year old real estate agent who when I was just 17 I set out to find my passion. Just a few months later after graduating high school, I applied and got my real estate license. It started out very challenging given my age and my previous experience was little to none. That only fueled me to work harder and be better than than the competition from such a young age. Through the consistent hustle and working through challenges, I found myself getting more motivated every day, here I am a 18 years old kid in an adult shark world. Fast forward a week after getting my license, and there was my first real estate buyer ever, I was preparing for this like no other. As soon as I saw the happiness on my clients face when the home closed, I knew I couldn’t stop there. Just under two years later, with lots of downfall and even more learning, I am hitting my $10 million sales goal for the year, only eight months into 2021.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Graduating high school and knowing you don’t want to go to college is a big struggle and extremely intimidating, a lot of people doubted and still doubt me because I am going against what most people do, but that was the fuel to my fire. I want to motivate people and kids to not have to think they have to go the “normal” way about things in order to be not only successful but learn something and excel in it.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a real estate agent. I specialize in client satisfaction and my knowledge of the product. I’m known for being practical, honest and being the hardest worker in the room. I’m proud of not giving up on myself, there is plenty of times when things don’t go the right way and you just want to give up, I’m proud of myself for pushing forward no matter what mentality, which isn’t something you are born with, it’s something you must master. What sets me apart from others is that I’m vigilant and on my feet, not only do I take my work seriously, but I make sure to do my part and some in order to go the extra mile for not only me but the people whom I represent.

Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
The unteathered soul. It’s a book, and it basically teaches lots of life lessons, not only on an interpersonal aspect but business and day to day life as well. It sets in many “Aha! moments” like listening to the negative and letting that control your life will lead you to think negatively, or the same goes to talk about being positive. Controlling your inner self will give you a better chance of what happens on the outside.
